She's not even showing remorse for killing her child though. She doesn't even care. All she wants is to be let off free, she has no heart.

Apparently people that look like her are getting all sorts of attacks, the link above is about Sammy Blackwell a girl who looks somewhat like Casey, was attacked after work. And even profiles on Facebook that just so happen to have the same name are receiving death threats too.

Nah she was let out last week.
She get's out this Wednesday. So much for her having jail time :/
It is still a dumb thing to be doing though. I mean the name doesn't sound that uncommon to me, it's not like you would see someone with the name Casey and immediately assume it to be her. And even if it was actually her, yes she is a fool but well, the law found her not guilty due to lack of evidence.

I mean say this person had killed the woman she hit, and then the following week the real murderer confessed, and it turned out that Casey actually was innocent... I mean that alone would be a huge burden, and it just is not worth going into prison for attempted murder yourself over.

/fail

Because everyone named Casey is a child murderer amirite?

Yeah, it's quite stupid... At least her life won't be exactly easy now, [s]if people are on the streets seeking to attack every single person called Casey and Casey lookalikes.[/s]

I like what some people in this thread are saying. It wasn't due to a lack of evidence. They found "How to break a child's neck" , "How to make chlorofoam" on her Google, and she refused to let the police know of her child's disappearance after 30 days. This isn't circumstantial evidence. The court just swayed in favor of her family because her parents are rich. She was also known to be miserable while she had her kid, and when the child went missing she was alot more cheerful, which isn't reasonably the case for most mothers. I know that she is guilty, and honestly I feel that she should be immediately thrown in jail. Her case is going to be revisited hopefully, as there is obvious evidence.
Gone for good.

Went over the timeline on the Investigation Discovery site and this little tidbit in particular stood out to me:
June 14 – Casey allegedly logs into her MySpace account and leaves a message on a profile allegedly belonging to Anthony Lazzaro. The message, time-stamped 8:05 a.m., read, "You're absolutely my favorite." It remains unclear if Anthony ever replied, as the majority of Casey's comments from that period have been deleted.
I'm no expert when it comes to criminals and why they do what they do, but when I read this, I was almost instantly reminded of two other cases: those of Susan Smith and Diane Downs, two women who murdered their own children because neither of their boyfriends was interested in a "ready-made" family. Could Anthony Lazarro have viewed Caylee as a liability and offhandedly expressed this sentiment? Or perhaps he didn't feel that way at all, but Casey thought he did and decided to, in an utterly twisted way, prove her devotion to him? Or is it possible that the MySpace message carried a much less eerie connotation when read in context? It's probably impossible at this point to say for certain, but I don't think it's entirely unrealistic to tentatively conclude that a desire to prevent her boyfriend from leaving at any cost might have been a motive of hers.

(Of course, there are many other potential motives, such as her apparent frustration with not being able to party as much as she wanted to because she had a child to care for and, like Baya said, her general disdain for child-rearing. I dunno, I think I'm just rambling because it's late and I'm exhausted; nothing I'm saying is anything new. xD)

I know she was set free, but like you guys, I personally don't believe she is inculpable. If she wasn't solely responsible for the murder of her daughter, it's likely she was at least complicit in it.
May justice someday be exacted upon the one who so mercilessly took the life of that poor little girl.
