Father Of The Pride

Okay, well, I am a really huge fan of this short lived series. ^^ For those of you who have never seen Father Of The Pride and don't know what it is, it was a show that was on NBC for only one season sadly. It was a CG animated show that revolved around a pride of white liones that lived with Segfreid and Roy, the world famous magicians. There were a ton of famous voice actors that lent their talent to really bring this show to life and it was one of the funniest shows I've ever had the pleasure of watching. Unfortunately due to the high cost of production for each episode, mixed with the untimely accident involving the white tiger and Segfreid or Roy, can't remember which got attacked, but yeah, the show was canceled after only one season. Fortunately though, you can buy theDVD of the first and only season and I highly recommend getting it. It's a very amusing show and for any one that likes big cats and funny stuff, you should really get a kick out of it. Due to the sort of mature nature of the show however, I will not post any clips of the show directly on here but if you want to see some of the episodes, you can always look on youTube. Again, I suggest buying the DVD but that's only if you like what you see on YouTube. ^^ Anyone else a fan of this show, hmm? Oh, and I know I butchered the names of Segfried and Roy, well, not Roy, but whatever. ^^

omg, I remember this show! I watched it when it was still on air. but they weren't white lions, just normal ones. it's great show, although it does have some crude humor.

I don't remember the names to well, but I do know the cast. the father is a somewhat lazy lion, similar to some tv comedy dads. the mother is smart. the grandpa is pretty grumpy and has a thing for younger lionesses. the daughter, Ciara I think, is all environmental and a vegetarian. the son is a cub and apparently has fleas as he's seen with those cone collar things in some episodes.

I remember the show, just that I didn't get around of watching it all unfortunately...

I do remember some of the character's names and such. ^^ It is indeed one of those shows that can give you that fill type feeling when you watch TLK.
I don't know how to put it really though. I really enjoy the humor this show has to offer as well. I'd have to thank KM for introducing me to the show, seeing how I barley get TV anyways. ^^

lol they looked like white lions to me. The father's name is Larry, the mother is Kate, daughter is Siarra (sp), son is Hunter and the grandfather is Sarmoti (sp) lol.

@ buffypii: lol Linda. It was supposed to b but I just had to post this thread too since I really love this show. ^^ Besides, it still has to do with lions, so it's close enough to being on topic for me. lol.

@ Mike Yeah, you should give the show another chance Mike. ^^ There are a few hit and miss episodes, but the majority of them are side splittingly funny. If I had to recommend a few episodes for you to watch, they would be: "Cat Nip & Trust and "Road Trip. Those are two of my favorite ones. ^^

OMG!!! I remember this, it was hilarious Wasn't the dad called Larry or something? I'm sure it might be something like that- and what about that little cub with the plasic elizabethan collar and he was a fan of Lord of the Rings?

EDIT: Just remembered that little cub was called Hunter (aww)
