Well not quite lol. But what has happened is that underwater archaeologists, whom dive down to find remains of old sunken ships and such under the ocean, they believe they have found a sunken ship which could have belonged to Captain Henry Morgan, who was literally a pirate of the Caribbean, and one of the most notorious ones at that too. He died in 1688 and was known to loose as many as five ships in the area this ship has been found. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Morgan
Now these pirates, are the OLD style pirates, that actually had swords and stuff, not your modern day "pirates" who now use weapons that almost rival an army (thins like an AK74 and knives). These were the true old school pirates, as they are portrayed in the PotC films, and as such the ship also has chests of real treasure inside it too! Not like your modern pirates with their unspeakable crimes, but these were actual treasure hunting pirates XD For someone like me who loves this sort of stuff, it is interesting.
One more thing, when dealing with material this old you have to be careful when digging up stuff, but I am super exited to see what the dig up, and what is in the chests! Which they will be soon hopefully, as Morgan rum are funding the next expedition (rum company named after Morgan) And maybe they can actually restore the ship to some degree in a museum? Seeing a real pirate ship? Yes please!
I love these kinds of stories! I love the idea of hidden buried treasure, remember that back in 2007, Andreas K found a chest of treasure while he was digging in his backyard, http://gizmodo.com/5795087/austrian-man ... s-backyard
TL - DR, here is the link to the original story complete with video.
