Games I play.

I love video games, I've been playing them since I was 3 years old (my first game was a handheld Frogger.....but I broke it....). So I thought I might as well put something here for them. starting with my Top 12 games! :excited:

#12:Rugrats: Search for Reptar. Image
The reason this game made it on the list is beacuse other than Frogger this was one of the first video games I ever played. It was also the first 3D game for me as well.
Rugrats holds a place in my childhood as the greatest cartoon I ever saw. So when my parents got me the game I was excited, I didn't know they had a game so when I put in the disc and saw the name pop up I couldn't have been more hyped if you gave me sugar. I played the hell out of the game and did everything, all the easy, normal, hard, and expert levels (now who's idea was it to put expert levels in a childrens game?) I found all the secrets and got to the hidden level where I could play as Reptar.
I don't have the game anymore (I don't know what happened to it) but I can still remember the cutscenes and the levels. I think I might have to track a copy of this game down.

The past is a gaping hole. You try to run from it, but the more you run, the deeper it grows behind you, its edges yawning at your heels. Your only chance is to turn around and face it. But it's like looking down into the grave of your love, or kissing the mouth of a gun, a bullet trembling in its dark nest, ready to blow your head off.

#11: The Lion King. Image
Some of you might be wondering why I put this so far down on the list. Well my reason is that no matter how hard I tried I COULD NOT GET PAST THE 2ND LEVEL! I'm serious, even to today the only way I can see past that level is by level skip, save states, or an act of God! But even with all that said it still has a place in my childhood and this list because I was a TLKhollic, at the age of 2. I first played the game at my Greataunt's house during the summer (I believe) and just like Rugrats you couldn't pry me away.
I have the emulator of the game on my computer and every now and them I still play it, everytime brings back the memories......frustrated, angry memories... anyways next game.

#10: Halo combat evolved. Image
Now everybody knows Halo, the wide open environments that left you breathless, the vast assortment of guns that you ask youself "why can't I take them all?!", the strange enemies that showed no mercy in Legendary mode, and the fact that the feeling of this game wasn't in any of the others! Yes I know Halo 2 and 3 were good and set online multiplayer on the map but what the fudge happened?! in Halo 2 there wasn't open environments and Legendary wasn't playable....I'm not going there...not today. Sorry for the rant there, please ignore that.
Anyways, I never got to play this game until I was older (around 10-13), but I got to watch my dad play it all the time. And what I saw made me want to play it. Botom line this game kicks the backside of a Grunt repetidly so much that it diserves its rightful place on this list.

#9: Super Mario 64. Image
When I started playing the N64 this was....not the first game I played, my friends borowed it from my dad so I had to wait. We got it back a few days later and when we did I grabbed it, put it in the cartridge slot and went all out. I believe I beat it on my own account but I can't remember, but I did beat it alot on my dads account.
The earliest thing I can remember was waking up one saturday morning and after watching cartoons I played the second boss fight with Bowser, jumping over lava pits and throwing Bowser into bombs. Ahhh those were happy days. :happythoughts:

#8: Frogger. Image

Now while I'm not sure I played the same handheld version of Frogger and the one in the picture I am sure that I remember playing it when I was young, and it's only natural that I put it on this list. My mom used to let me play this game when I was 3 and at the time I hardly knew what a videogame was let alone how to spell the games name, but I was hooked....so much so that I broke it. But nomatter how much I try I can only vaguely remember sitting on the brown carpeted floor of the old appartment staring at the screen and helping Frogger make his way to the end.

I can't really say much else about this game because it was a long long time ago. I'll always remember this game as my first step into the world of gaming, that and it was easily breakable.

#7: Bucky O'hare.

Now I'm really digging deep into my childhood with this one. Bucky O'hare was an arcade game from 1992 (the same year I was born) but was first an arcade game and cartoon show.
When you first start you get a scene of many toad ships flying into Buckys world and shooting up the place. Bucky, not far behind, and his crew drop in to save the world.
This game was awesome! side scrolling, shooting up some toads and you and 4 friends could play at the same time.

The earliest memory I can recall was me and some kid playing it at a Roundtable pizza place. with my moms seemingly endless supply of quarters and quick fingers me and that kid beat it. ^^ (too bad it took me 7 years to remember it and days of searching to find it again)

#6: Spyro 1 through 3

Yes I know how can I count three games as one? Well for me these games are unsortable and can't ever be separated from each other. I first played Spyro as a demo then rented the actual game. I did the same for Riptos Rage just without the demo part, this was the one I actually came close to beating when I was (around) ten. Never was able to beat the last boss though. As for year of the dragon I played my old friends copy and it still had the same quality I came to expect from a Spyro game.
The reason I love these compared to the later games is because InsOmniac had pretty much nothing to do with them and I only really got into Dawn of the Dragon because of how it was made, true it wasn't made like these three but was still good for a game not made by the original creators.
