I have heard a few of the songs. Nothing paticularly amazing, half of their songs sound the same to me. I dunno, I think i'm just not a big fan of that type of music :/.

lol I agree. All their songs are about the exact same thing and it gets to be a pain in the *** after a while.

I like 2 of their songs, the rest are decent.

Power metal - or metal in general - is an acquired taste, but I don't think many people try very hard to acquire it. I think if people were to listen to Dragonforce's CD on high quality speakers where they could actually hear all the instruments instead of just noise, they would look at metal a different way and possibly even appreciate it.

That being said, I'm not really a metal head. Just somewhat of an advocate

Acquired taste? So if I force myself to listen to a genre that I do not like, then I will like it? I have listened to enough metal to form an opinion of the genre, one that quite literally translates in short to: "meh". I do understand the skill that goes into these songs, but generally I do not like listening to it. In the same principal, I have friends who will not listen to any Hip-Hop simply because they do not like that genre. I think if you have tried something and dislike it, then you are not going to be able to acquire a taste for it...

haha im not a big fan of dragonforce, but I remember when we played guitar hero 3 with friend and through the fire and flames song was sooo hard!
