Bio: Revan began his career as a promising Jedi Knight. This was also the period in which the monumental war known to galactic history as the Mandalorian Wars began. The Mandalorians began attacking worlds on the galaxy’s outer rim, gradually making their way to the Republic. When the Republic was finally struck, they begged the Jedi Council for help. However, rather than be dragged into another war so soon after the devastating war against the infamous Sith lord Exar Kun, the council stated that the Jedi would be patient and wait to see how deadly the threat was. Many younger Jedi did not like this, including Revan and his friend, Malak. For them, the Mandalorians’ genocide of the feline inhabitants of the planet of Cathar was the final straw. Revan joined the Republic’s war effort and fought against the Mandalorians, ultimately defeating them at the planet Malachor V. Revan was very rebellious. This rebellion was a pivotal element in Revan’s fall to the dark side. Revan and Malak discovered secrets of the ancient Dark lords of the Sith on the tomb world of Korriban, which led them to the dark side of the Force. Soon, they returned to the Republic and announced themselves as the new Dark lords of the Sith, Darth Revan and Darth Malak. Eventually, the Jedi caught up with Revan, and, through an act of betrayal on the part of Malak, he was captured. The Jedi council did not execute him, however. Instead, they used the Force to scour the memories of his time as Dark lord from his head. They gave him a new identity, one loyal to the Republic. After Revan escaped the city-planet of Taris with aid from a Republic war hero, Carth Onasi, and a Jedi, Bastila Shan, he went on to become a Jedi once more and brought an end to the threat of Malak.
