Personality: Amarok is very calm and collected as opposed to the stereotype that his kind were vicious and aggressive. He rarely shows any sign of anger, or sorrow and just keeps it pent up inside. He is very honest, and pretty bold about that. Amarok likes to help those that really needs it, and tries to refrain from scaring them whilst doing so. He gets very upset over the fact that others fear him, when they haven't even gotten to know him. Amarok is a friendly wolf in general, and would rarely threaten anyone.
History: When Amarok was a young pup in the woods, his master found him all alone and wounded. The human's first thought would be to put the pup down, to save it suffering, but instead he used better judgment and assessed how bad the wound was before making such a decision. The wound was very minor and could be stitched up easily, so he decided to take the pup in. After stitching the pup up, he fed it some food and took it back to the forest, and left it down on the snowy ground. When the human turned to walk away, Amarok followed. The hunter ordered him to stay, and Amarok just kept on following. In the end, the hunter figured he could adopt the young wolf as it was proven that if a wolf was raised from a young age, it would be a very loyal and gentle creature.
Years passed since that day, and Amarok was used to retrieve any game the hunter couldn't manage to kill with a bullet. Amarok hated having to do such a thing, but it was what his master desired and so he would do it. However, because of this choice of Amarok's he is seen as a ruthless killer and as a typical wolf stereotype where ever he goes. It was when Amarok moved to Nome and grew tired of being prejudged that he actually began to do something about it.
