The behavior though of Faline should be pretty similar to Bambi's Mom, just as Bambi should be similar to the Great Prince of the Forest, and Thumper I guess should be similar to his mom. I am thinking of Faline and the twin fawns getting separated though and they think something happened to her.

Yep and in the book the Bambi movie is based off of, "Bambi, A Life in the Woods," it says that Bambi and Faline never get killed and they live to an old age.
