So...

Yeah, it seemed a little unrealistic but I kept thinking if it actually happened it would be incredibly hard to deal with and it must feel horrible with people not believing like this...

Frankly I don't know what to believe myself and if all that did in fact actually happen, I'm sorry that so much stuff has happened to you and I'm sorry that I doubt you.

There are no marine bases anywhere near ground zero. If your father was a marine, then it is highly unlikely that you would be living in New York city. It is possible, given your family situation, but I find it hard to believe.

Also, most marines are young, not much older than me. Very few (but, yet, some) have older children. Also, only a few marines actually died in Iraq. Although the exact numbers are unknown, most have made it back safely.

Death by skiing is very rare, much more so than anything else listed here.

If you said your Dad died from a heart attack, I'd believe you. If you said your brother died in a car accident, I'd believe you. But I can't believe this. What I believe is that you have a vivid imagination, and are seeking attention. You can play victim all you want and try to make me feel bad, but it is only logical for me to reach such a conclusion. I hope you understand that.

I sincerely apologize for any pain I may have caused you by providing suggestive evidence that you are lying, regardless of whether or not you actually are. This is your welcome back thread, after all. Even if I am correct, and you are totally making everything up, I have nothing against you. Despite the tone of my post, I truly wish to welcome you back to MLK.

His father could have been a marine stationed somewhere else. Maybe he entered the marines before they lived in NYC.

Also he mentioned the fireman was his STEPFATHER.

The fireman and the marine are not the same person.

@Regulus, even if ONLY SOME of what she is saying is true, I feel sorry for her. If someone is going to go in the internet and LIE about their family dying, you are one sick mofo, like really sick. So if she says it happened, its good enough for me. IF when I told everyone about my mum having cancer, someone doubted I was telling the truth I would have gone bat crap insane at them. You do not have a clue who you are talking to or what their lives actually entail. Plus if she one day proves all this happened, you will look extremely silly.

@Nitro. I dont know what to say, not a lot I really can do but welcome you back and hope things start looking up for you soon. If you were lying, your life is still bad enough that you lied about family deaths, so my hope still stands strong, but I dont really think you were so... Yeah... Just, welcome back.
