Unless you're around 13, you might not want to watch it. It's a bit gory at times

But Akira is 10x worse than that. It's another well-known-non-Miyazaki anime film; and I'm scarred for life from watching it...

That's good. I hear you guys have extremely low crime rates. Can't say the same about America

Australia and Sydney have their fair share of crime rates in certain suburbs. Things are ok where I am but they've been getting a little worse. A man was stabbed up our street a year ago

. We also have lots more natural disasters it seems, lol. Mostly I think Australia is slowly becoming like America.

Did you see Battle Angel? That's another anime film that James Cameron (who made avatar) wants to adapt into a western movie.

Hmm, never seen that one. I care very little for anime shows and usually stick to the movies. Is Battle Angel affiliated with a show of some sort?

Australia won't match America's crime caliber in 1000 years. Too many nice people where you live. How hot does it get there, btw?

Battle Angel is a stand alone "short." Think of it as a short movie:) There are two episodes, but the total length goes to less than an hour.

It got about 48 degrees here once. That's about 118F. A hot week is mid 30s. A cool week is mid 20s (for summer).

Thank God for air conditioning!!! I don't handle the heat well at all, lol.

I live in Sydney, so the flooding didn't reach us here, but boy Queensland was unlucky. First floods THEN a cyclone. The worse Cyclone ever... but the floods killed more people. Makes me wish I knew how to swim, lol:)
