3. First watched TLK in circa. 1999 when I was about 3
4. I've been a fan since my first viewing, which is the majority of my life, but I guess officially joining the fandom didn't happen until August 2011 when I started writing TLK fan fiction.
5. I write more than I read, because I want to be a writer as my proffession, and its good practice and a good way to get quick feedback.
6. No, I can't draw to save my life xD
7. To discuss TLK with fellow fans, as it was an outlet I didn't really have IRL

3. When did you first watch the Lion King? I saw it when it first came out in UK cinemas, it was one of the first films I ever watched.

4. When do you consider the date you joined the Lion King fandom? : 30 March 2010, the day I joined this site. Bloody hell, that's close to five years ago now!

5. Do you write or read fan fiction, If so why?: I write it sometimes and read it less often. And because... Well to be honest I don't know, I just started writing it one day and liked it and then other people said they liked the story so I just continued writing from there. There is a certain kind of escapism to writing your own story that I can't quite describe to anyone who hasn't tried it, though.

6. Do you draw fan art, if so do you have an original character?: No. I actually don't really like the whole concept of having OC and stuff. I do have an OC that one of my friends designed for me as a gift but its not a part of the fandom I am involved with.

7. Why did you join this site?: I just watched TLK around the date that I joined and just wanted to meet some other fans of the film. Other than going around town and asking everyone "Do you like The Lion King?", I just Googled "Lion King Forum" expecting to find nothing and it turned out, that's actually a fairly common search phrase. Found this site and joined.

Oddly enough when I first joined, I had been involved in other fandoms but I had no idea that a Lion King fandom was a thing that existed. Also because it had been years since I was active in a fandom, things had changed quite a bit and I spent the first week just stalking the boards like "No way is this a thing people do with their time!" but I eventually gave in and gave it a go, glad I did.

8. What do you consider to be necessary to be a fan of the Lion King?: Have watched and enjoyed at least the first film. That's all.

I had this already typed up a few days ago. But here are my answers to the questionnaire:

3. When did you first watch the Lion King?

Right around the same time it was released in theaters back in the summer of 1994 here in the USA. I was only 5 years old back then, so I didn't understand much of it when I went to go see it with my family one hot afternoon.

4. When do you consider the date you joined the Lion King fandom?

Around the same time I joined this forum, back in May of 2012, after I first watched all of the three films for the first time after seeing the first one on live television again in ages, two months prior.

5. Do you write or read fan fiction, If so why?

Both.

I will write at times to support my most favorite character Timon, and also write about other thoughts, experiences or situations he would have, not seen on the films. The same thing with reading, except that I will also read more general ones or fics that don't directly involve Timon from time to time to see what ideas and thoughts people have about other canon/official film characters. I usually do not support original or fan-made characters.

6. Do you draw fan art, if so do you have an original character?

At the present time, no. But on a side note, I do view it at times (especially if it involves my fav), and more so than fan fiction as of late as I've been wanting to get my ideas for Timon illustrated.

7. Why did you join this site?

Because of liking my favorite LK hero Timon and supporting him through my posts on this forum since he is also a commonly misunderstood / misinterpreted character.

8. What do you consider to be necessary to be a fan of the Lion King?

To be a true fan in my book, you like And completely accept all of the three films (since the film franchise is what started it), and characters, as they are.
