Just to clear things up about the TLKFotM: Fan artists on the MLKFAA are also legible to be nominated.

But I agree with Flip and SM on this one though about the need for this topic: I am sure that most of us are already well aware of the FAA here on MLK. Strictly speaking, I am confident that just about everyone on MLK didn't join just after looking up "TLK forums" as much as finding MLK from general "TLK fan sites". Meaning that the first page they would most likely find, as did I, would be the general MLK home page. There, the forums are just another link among many, including the FAA.

When I found MLK, the forums were actually one of the last places I went to, and the FAA one of the first. I really don't think that I am alone here, or even unusual. Meaning that in the end, I don't think that we really need to go out of our ways to interact with the FAA users.

That being said, if you want to nominate one for the TLKFotM, go right ahead.

I started out on the FAA. But I don't have a lot of time to draw, I write more. And most of the artists from the FAA who I follow are on dA where I communicate with them from time to time. Honestly, when I am on the FAA, there's none of this "getting to know the artists" going on. People there don't like to talk much. It's pretty much just people complimenting one another's art. Not that that's bad. But I come here to talk to people and be a part of a community and write fanfics and things of that nature. I know there are some great people in the FAA. But they don't want to talk to us forum-folk, or they would. We're a link away. The people who want to be part of both sections are, and the rest... well obviously they're okay with how things are or they'd be complaining about it too.

We'll welcome them if they want to talk to us, and I certainly do comment on art from time to time, but you can't make people who aren't interested in the FAA go there anymore than you can make people who aren't interested in the forum come here. You have to let people choose which sections to go to.
