To bring up one of Nitro and I's old ideas:

During the end battle, Kovu fights Kopa and knocks him down. He's about to finish him off when Kiara steps in and forces him to choose between kingship and her. This is to avoid the issue of Kovu switching sides too fast.

I just introduced Anakin, he'll be friends with Chaka and once Chaka turns evil sometime. Anakin will be one of the males helping Chaka.

Anakin will go partially evil after he goes out hunting and finds Zira watching over, she'll explain what she's doing and why she's doing it. Then Anakin will ask Kovu and Kovu will say he's falling for Kiara and Anakin will get mad and become almost evil then try and turn his best friend Chaka evil and succeed.
