yeah and until simba is revealed as the true king, Kovu is raised as Mufasa' s heir and will be a young cub by the time simba is an adult. so he could later feel rejected or something when Simba becomes king.

Ok. Maybe everyone could try and speak with Kovu to help him come to grips with everything. As for Vitani, she could be Nala's best friend and so on. Now to decide when they'll be born.

simple, kovu and vitani are cubs though out the whole thing.

well how about when Simba is nearly the age he is at the time Scar plans to use him to kill Mufasa.
