Appearance: Hiroshi’s fur color is of a tawny brown. His mane, while not yet visible, is jet black and he has hazel eyes along with an Outlander’s nose. Hiro’s body build is a bit on the slender side yet still well proportioned for his age. His underbelly and paw tips are of a tan color while his tail tuft is jet black as well. He has no discerning markings as of yet.
Personality: Although he is the first born cub of Scar’s, Hiroshi clearly takes after his mother when it comes to personality. Calm, cool and collected, Hiro finds it extremely easy to make friends and his generous nature often leads to others taking advantage of him but having a heart of gold and an undying bond towards those he holds dear, Hiro definitely wouldn’t come off as being the son of Scar.
Backstory: Hiroshi was the first cub born to Scar after the conniving ruler took over The Pride Lands. Hiroshi’s mother, named Amami (meaning “beautiful sky” in Japanese), was originally part of Mufasa’s pride and was one of the very few Pridelander lionesses that accepted Scar’s rule with no arguments. Amami was the first to be chosen by Scar, to be his mate and Hiroshi was born about a season after Scar had taken over The Pride Lands. Things were actually quite peaceful between Scar and Amami. Scar adored Hiro and accepted him as his heir, but as time progressed and the lands started to become a bit more barren, things took a dramatic turn. As soon as Amami came back into heat, Scar demanded that they have another cub. Knowing that the herds were beginning to move on and water supplies were becoming less abundant, Amami refused to bring another cub into the world until things improved. Absolutely infuriated by the lack of obedience from his once beloved mate, Scar heartlessly ordered his hyena minions to end Amami’s life in the dead of night. While not being present for his mother’s demise thankfully, Hiroshi knew that it was Scar’s doing that had ended his mother’s life, although being too young to do anything about it, he was forced to either keep his mouth shut about what had happened, or meet the same fate as his poor mother. Scar in turn, allowed Hiro to stay alive and even treated him and his friends a lot better than many of the pride members, although Scar himself completely disowned Hiroshi as being his son, which was perfectly fine with Hiro, as he himself didn’t want to be associated with the very lion who killed his mother. From then on, he made no mention about his father, only saying that his mother had already been pregnant when Scar took over. Only himself and Scar know the truth however. Having lost his mother, Hiro kept to himself for a while until a new group of lionesses were recruited into the pride, along with them, several cubs around his age joined as well, including a feisty young lioness named Ari and a cocky young male named Kito. The three easily became best friends not too long after meeting one another and seemed to be inseparable ever since. Joined by Kweli shortly there after, the band of four friends lived pleasant lives even with the world around them slowly coming apart at the seams.
