Personality: Shani, much like her brother, was a playful and energetic cub. Though, she was quiet and wise like Sarabi. Shani was more attached to her mother, than she was to her father. Shani was adventurous, and mostly went on adventures by herself. She loved to be alone.

Characteristics: Shani has the same red eyes that the rest of her family sports. Though, she has a pelt much like Sarabi's and an underbelly, toes, and muzzle like her father. Her over eyes are a dark brown, unknown where that came from. Her tail tuft is a dark red. Smaller than most of the cubs, and has cute, large eyes.

History: Shani was supposed to be a twin to Simba, but was born about 3 days after. Though she wanted to be known better, she also accepted the fact that Simba was the main attraction. Which made Shani prefer her mother, who gave her the more love than Mufasa did. Shani loved being with the lionesses, listening to their conversations and watching them hunt but, throughout her short life, Shani also loved to go on walks and be alone. One day the young lioness cub hoped to leave the Pridelands and venture off on her own. Mufasa and Sarabi wouldn't allow it until she grew up. One morning, she woke up early, even earlier than Simba did and left Priderock to go out on another walk. Hyenas had been aloud in the Pridelands these days, and made a deal with the king to NOT kill off to much food and to Not kill anyone in the Pride. Little did they know, that the younger teens did not know this rule and went out the same morning Shani did to get food.

After a mere few minutes on her walk, Shani started getting chills and went back towards Priderock, to snuggle up between her parents. The Hyenas were stalking her, and she had no idea they were, until a twig snapped under their feet, and she started bolting home. Running faster than she ever had, she quickly made it to Priderock, but infront of the den, the Hyenas got her. The lionesses and lions of the Pridelands watched as they tore Shani apart. The lionesses started attacking the Hyenas and killed them for their actions. Sarabi, Mufasa, Simba and the rest of the Pride morned the death of the young princess.

Mufasa kicked the Hyenas from the Pridelands and made a rule that no Hyena must enter the Pridelands or they will be killed. A brutal rule, but it had to be done.

Shani had a beautiful funeral. Every animal in the Pridelands had tears steaming from their eyes. The sweet princess was gone. Mufasa vowed to take care of their other child, so this never happens again.
