Mate: Currently, none. Simba has taken many mates during his life and wanted nothing more than to raise a family. His personal disposition has left him with adoption his only real choice to fulfill those desires, however - something that weighs on him at times as it also means he will be the last of the Keepers in his lineage.
Physical Description: The most immediately noticeable feature of Simba is his pelt and mane. Both are replete with deep hues of amber and myriad shades of red. His mane betrays a life that had been much different up until now. His body, while lithe and tone, have muscles that have yet to be proven. Eyes.. his eyes hold so much, have seen so much more than many would believe. To look in them at first one might not think anything different, but further investigation reveals a gaze that could let him see to the heart of your soul. There is something different about him, something he has been destined for. These are his eyes.
Personality: Simba is one of the last survivors of the Mizaati Mara Pride. After an epic battle with Anitar, leader of the Avidor Rift Pride, Simba underwent many changes in his life. Returned from a distant land where many of his physical and spiritual wounds were healed, he currently no longer seeks the throne that is his. The recent separation from his mate has left him to travel aloof and almost aimless among the lands now with secrets that are his alone.
History: Simba was the oldest of three cubs that had been born to the Mara pride. As the only male of the litter, he was also the sole heir to a family legacy that had been passed down through his family from each generation dating back to the days of the first creation; a legacy which did not go unnoticed. Four Prides (of which the Mara was one) were chosen to be Keepers, heirs and guardians of a secret that survives only in legend. Their legacy was no myth, however, and his pride was subsequently tracked down and murdered to end that lineage. Every member of the Mara had been slaughtered by Anitar, leader of the Avidor Rift pride. Simba would have met the same fate as well had he not been protected through the singular intervention of a member of the Azhane Troop — one of four troops of mandrills who had been charged with the safety and protection of the Keepers. The actions used to protect him, however, were unusual and unorthodox and left him without memory of his past and seemingly ageless — his size and appearance as a cub went unchanging through the passage of time.
During this time in his life he had many adventures and made the best of friends and found a family dear to him among the many others in the land he had been placed. In time he created the Mizaati Mara Pride and gathered a formidable number of loyal friends who followed under his banner. Such an endeavor did not come without struggle or consequences. Simba had already been adopted by Adiemus “Shadows” Zendalli and named heir to the Order of the Coste Modre. His refusal to abandon his newly created pride produced much tension between Simba and Adiemus. Ever present though was the threat of Anitar who had discovered Simba’s survival and sought out to find him and finish him and his family line once and for all. With the help of the other Keepers they were able to defeat Anitar, but not without cost. Simba had suffered severe wounds both within and without - more than any hope of recovery would have permitted - and was beyond the abilities of even the Great Shamans to be healed. His only hope rested in the lands to the East.
