Personality: Lotus is strong and defiant leader, he takes very good care of his pride and he shows cubs and other lionesses much affection. He can be strict at times but is normally very lenient. He allows other males within his pride and territory as long as they do not challenge him or bring trouble to the pride. He is a father figure to anyone who needs one.
Description: Lotus is mostly black with white/creamy colored mane, tail tuft, toes, and leg edges. He has pale green eyes with creamy under eye, creamy inner ear and muzzle. He also has a dark brown shade on his face.
History: Lotus was born into a low position of a small pride as a tiny premature cub and was thought not to make it through the night. He toughed it out, his mother cared for him and nuzzled him through that tough night. He continued to grow, and soon became a small healthy rambunctious cub who loved to help anyone in anyway he could. He talked about his dream of one day being the king of his own clan, his pride laughed at his dream, but his mother encouraged it. He left the pride at a year old on a mission to find his own pride to rule. On this mission he met Winter, a small, white, beautiful lioness at a water hole. They became great friends and their friendship grew into love over the months, Winter followed him on his great journey wanting to belong to a clan that was worthy and wouldn't make fun of her unique color. At two years old Lotus found a small pride with lovely territory, he quickly fell in love with it and knew this is where he wanted to rule. He entered the pride and challenged the king who laughed at Lotus' small build, decided to take him on for an easy kill and take his lovely white friend. To everyone's surprise Lotus won the fight, he did not kill the king though but gave him mercy and told him never to return. Lotus rules his pride and territory, which has increased in size, with power and love.Winter becomes his permanent mate. Two years after having won the pride the old king returns; Lotus is furious that he dare to challenge him, but he soon finds out that the old king does not want to fight for the throne back but merely wants to join the pride as a warrior because he misses the pride he ruled. After many days of debating the situation the Shade Pride lion council allows the old king to stay.Lotus has a cub with Winter, a small black and white male which they name Zonie. This little cub loves to wander and leave the territory, he gained the unique talent of mimicking voices and would tease and scare the other cubs. The older lions thought lowly of King Lotus' unruly cub and ignored him and shooed him away. He decided at six months old he would leave the pride and find a new one that appreciated his ways. Lotus and Winter worried that he would bring trouble to the pride or himself but did not search for him because Lotus' father (who had joined the pride soon after Lotus won) told them young Zonie would find happiness and no harm would come to him. Winter has recently given birth to a female cub, she has named Mobi.
