Personality: As soon as you watch Zahran for a few moments, you'd think he was a 'workaholic'; he likes to have a purpose and work towards something useful for himself and those he cares for. This cat can't stand still, and always has to be moving. A lover of physical activity, even if it's just long, steady and slow strolls through the lands or a hunt for food, you'll find this boy on his paws at all times. When he cares for someone, he'll go out of his way to make them happy and protect them no matter what, meanwhile if he doesn't know someone and they're in anguish, he won't put as much effort into keeping them safe.
Zahran wouldn't identify himself as 'void of emotions', but he describes himself close to something of the sort (for lack of better terms). Zahran does, however, like to call himself 'mature', and 'distinguished' as he feels there is no time for rough play (or any kind of play for that matter!) and something always has to be accomplished. He is competitive, determined, and independent. When he has something he wants, he stops at nothing to get it and no matter what the cost, he'll go for it.
Zahran adores his mother and always wants to keep by her side. He sacrifices his time for her, to keep her happy and well looked after. As she was the only role model in his life, he has learned how to be gentle and compassionate with older lionesses-- or those to who remind him of Jahzara.
History: During the rule of King Scar, Scar wanted to make himself 'immortal'; he bred with as many lionesses in the pride as he could (not many of them willing to). When Scar mated with Jahzara, the end result was Zahran who was catching to the eye for resembling his grandfather, Ahadi. While Zahran grew up, he was eventually chosen to assume the throne when Taka was dead. As a result, he was taken from his mother too early and thrust into intense training-- learning how to be cold and trust no one.
When Simba took back the throne and banished the Outlanders to the Outlands, Jahzara fled with her young Zahran to Zira's pride and lived with them. Until Kovu was found, Zahran was treated like he was the future king and respected by Zira above even her own children, Vitani and Nuka. When Kovu was discovered and brought into the pride, Zahran was pushed aside and had to make way for Kovu's taking over the role of 'future king'. As such, Zira appointed Zahran to teach Kovu how to fight and destroy anything and everything to get what he wanted.
As Kovu finished his training and put the plan that Zira had made into action, Zahran stayed home with the Outlanders and his mother. Though he wasn't the same cub his mother had known, he was still her son and she stuck with him no matter what troubles he had. When the word of war between the Outlanders and Pridelanders came to ear for everyone, Zira forced Zahran and his mother to fight with them, but since Jahzara was older and not able to even walk as well as she used to, she declined with Zahran supporting and staying with her. Zira banished the two from the pride, and sent them away from the lands whilst she led the Outlanders to the Pridelands for war.
As peace was brought to the lands once more, Zahran and his mother decided to live happily together in the Pridelands, but only on their own and not with any pride.
