Askari padded forward, making good cover across the plains. It was a dark foggy night as she went forward towards the front line to deliver a message. She had to trust in her instincts as her visibility was poor; the grass covered her eyes. She leapt over a log and saw she was about 500 metres from the nearest Flamefeather - a long distance for such a small liger. However, being distracted caused her to run into something. Askari got up, rubbed her head and was about to set off again when... "You're not going anywhere." growled a voice. Askari stopped dead in her tracks and turned round. Behind her was a giant lioness, grinning evilly. She could tell this was the enemy. Before Askari could react, the lioness pounced and dug her claws into Askari hind leg and caught her along her face. As she readied for the next attack, Askari knew that she couldn't win. The only way would to use her only skill - her knowledge. She had to make a plan. The enemy lioness came for the attack, but instead of scratching Askari, she dug her teeth into her back and lifted her clean off the ground. As this happened, Askari twisted and clawed at the lioness's face. As a reaction to Askari's attack, the enemy lioness squeezed her even tighter. Askari cried out in pain, her vision going foggy and her breathing becoming painful. Soon, she closed her eyes and fell limp. The enemy lioness dropped the dead weight in her mouth and ran off to fight another Flamefeather. Askari lay unmoving on the ground. Then, slowly, she opened her eyes and groaned. She was in terrible pain, but the plan had worked. She had pretended to be dead in order to stay alive. She gradually got to her feet and limped towards the front line, trying to ignore the pain in her body, determined to deliver her message. Here is Askari's assignment for Iri!
