Just so you know, this isn't how the Mayans pictured the end of their calendar cycle going down. It was supposed to be a time of rebirth and enlightenment. Everything on Earth would have their form refreshed and reach a new state of existence. To them, it was a true honour to live through this time. So, this isn't what they wanted to see at all. People got their hands on this story and changed the prediction to match more modern beliefs, which sees the end of days as a violent event, which is why 21/12/12 was talked about as a violent time.
