It was now dawn, the sun was still slowly rising over the horizon. Kike was alone at a small lake, lapping up tongue-fulls of water. The water was fresh, yet cold and every time she exhaled, she could feel the cold breath releasing from her mouth. She hadn't expeted Timon and Pumbaa to be awake - maybe Simba was - but she just wanted to be alone for a while. They were all pals, buddies and best friends for life. Nothing could seperate this. The young cheetah looked over towards the waterfall, sighing as she rose from her laying position.
She heard a gentle rustle behind her. The spotted cat quickly whipped her head around preparing for an attack. Out emerged a huge golden lion, his red mane blowing widly. He pinned Kike down and they both fell into the cold water.
"Simba!" yelled Kike, annoyed that she had been pinned into the cold water. She thought she was beong too serious and quickly spoke with a playful tone. "It's MY job to pin you. Seems as though I'm the best at it."
Simba quickly jumped out of the water, shaking his crimson mane and stared at her, one thick eyebrow raised. "Yeah right!" he said sarcastically. "I pinned you just now." He watched Kike walk out of the water, small parts of her fur dripping.
"Have Timon and Pumbaa woken up yet?" she asked, changing the subject.
"No.." replied Simba. Just then, Timon and Pumbaa stepped out of a bush, giggling. "So much for that!"
"Hakuna Matata." commented Timon. "We've been watchin' ya the whole time!"
Kike lay down, defeated. "Alright, Alright. I'm gonna find something to eat." She padded off into the distance. She didn't like grubs like her greedy friends - she ate MEAT.
