After talking to his mother, aunt and grandmother, Sudi decided to head off to find Zuberi again. He hadn't seen his friend since this morning when he stopped Zalika and her friends from doing more damage. Still crying from the pain of the bruises, he limped along. The Pridelands were huge and it would take a lot of strength to find Zuberi. The cub knew he was being stupid... why'd he have to be so stubborn and insist on finding Zuberi on his own? His ears flicked up as he heard something in the grass. His heart was beating fast, and he was panicking. Was it Zalika again? Was he going to get another beating?? Was it Dad? Or Mum? Turning around, he saw someone come out of the grass. "Hey." The greyish cub greeted. It was one of his sisters friends. Sudi wasn't in the mood for this. "Go away, Nuru." Sudi sobbed. Nuru looked at him, and titled his head. He looked confused and seemed like he wasn't going to attack Sudi. "I saw you and wanted to ask if you were... ok?" Nuru asked. Sudi nodded. "So... what ya doing out here on your own? You should go home. You look hurt." The grey cub said. Sudi just wanted to find Zuberi and get away from this mangy looking cub. He was probably on Zalika's side. "Go away. Bully." Sudi repeated. Nuru sighed. "Look... I don't want to hit you. In fact, I never have. I don't often hang around the others... I was hoping I could be friends with you since Kibwe is being a jerk." Nuru was staring Sudi in the eyes. His blank expression scared Sudi a little.. Was he lying? Sudi turned away from him. "How do I know I can trust you?" Sudi asked. "I don't know. How can I trust you?" Nuru replied, still glaring at Sudi. Turning back around, facing the cub, Sudi smiled a little. "So... you want to be my friend?? Won't Zalika and Kibwe beat you up too?" Nuru shook his head. "Nope. Because they... uh... like me? I don't know why though... we were never friends in the first place." "Oh... well... could you help me find Zuberi, please?" Sudi turned back around and waited for Nuru's answer. The cub had an off vibe about him, but Sudi was desperate for more friends. "Sure. Lets go then." -- Art, Sudi, Nuru (c) Me TLK (c) Disney
