'Son?' The male asked, nudging the sobbing cub with his paw. 'Go away, Dad.' The cub cried. Kovu licked the cubs back, and nudged him again. 'Sudi I was worried about you... you didn't return home.' 'I don't want to return home!' 'Why not?' There was a silence. His son looked at him with his pretty brown eyes that had gone a little red from the crying he had been doing. Kovu felt horrible that his son was so distraught. 'Zalika! She told me... I'm not her friend! She prefers them over me Dad! Why??' He began to cry, spilling out his thoughts. Anger rushed through Kovu's body as he heard what his daughter had done. He pulled his son close to his body. 'When we get home I will speak with your sister about this, ok?' Kovu said. 'Ok, Dad.' -- After being yelled at by Zalika, Sudi runs away and cries alone until the night. His parents worry and Kovu goes out to look for him.
