The day was simple... simple as it would get for me anyway. Another tournament of sorts had been set up. That's where captures and those who want to be stupid participate in a lovely game of tag. Only you use your teeth and are trying to rip the other's eyes out. Fun times... and unfortunately for me, I was proving myself to be good at not getting my eyes ripped loose. Fur and some flesh however... they couldn't care less. These meat-bags will throw freshly bandaged captures into the ring for sport. To make their first fighter more feisty, and get a nice welcoming, ear piercingly loud uproar from the crowds while this cat's shredded. Then here comes the good. This is a nonlethal event... umm so that cat or canine that is now headless is nonlethal, it was staged, yes? Good. I knew that blood was nothing more than tomato sauce being lathered into the ground. Lettuce get into the veggies! Fight after fight rolled around. Albeit I couldn't hide a smirk when the idiots who chose to enter got themselves fleeted open. Then moments later, the crimson fluids that ran through them like other nunts and the forced to fight, came trickling its way down the light source of my cell. A few months back, before I was ever in the Hell hole. I wouldn't have shown a satisfaction toward such a sight. But hey, months in the pits. Your mind doesn't really remain the same. Granted before this I would have simply not cared, and if Rhoda were here. I probably would have made the same outward reaction, a sly, almost thrilled smirk that some idiot has gotten three strikes. Saturn was somewhere. Perhaps in the ring right now, perhaps he was the one shredded earlier, perhaps he was bandaged and healing elsewhere... or hell. He got out. Either way. What could I do right now? So I waited for my turn to possibly be publicly executed. What a good thing to think about! But hey, sure enough, like clockwork, one after the other with the cells. I was up this time. I did learn to not attack every other feline or person that was around me, cause it wasn't getting me anywhere sept in more pain. So as long as I didn't find an opening, I wasn't going to do so. But hey, when there is. I will. It's a matter of when. So back to the uplifting stroll to my possibly last moments. I got to watch multiple bodies get pulled from the ring and into the corridors. A lot of ranting an raving over whomever was in the ring or something like that. I didn't care. So it really was death fights today. I knew the shredded soul was proof of concept. So the moment came for me to outright enter the ring. I was now in a barred hallway with man and feline alike on the exterior on either side of it, and the back gate to it. The bars lifted up, letting in more light. It hurt my green hermit eyes I will be honest with ya. But I entered and let my adjust... already in the ring was a cheetah... brown in colour, the ground heavily stained in blood and fabrics that were shredded. This was going to be a fun rumble, that much I was certain...

I was on devantrt yesterday and saw this pic, only from a diffrent angle. I read the story. I hope that Yikah survives to be able to escape. I like how the pic is moastly red except for her eyes.
Yeah, that version I was working on till about 4am. I went back to it and redid the background cause I felt I could do better now that I was not dead to the world. And the version posted now here and on dA is the second take.
