Got tagged with my guy Herne. So much me is in him so this was actually quite hard to get personality traits of him that stuck out the most to me. Things that surely make him, him.
PROTECTIVE: Like myself. Herne is very protective over family and those he cares about. He is often combining observation at the same-time when he is being protective. This can make him appear very harsh ironically to another that isn't family. This way he doesn't jump the gun and instantly attack. It often proves very effective, allowing him to resolve conflicts without fighting. (that is something I myself need to work on, I'm pretty quick to jump the gun, ^^)
OPTIMISTIC: I like to get something done, yes, some things, Herne is the same way. He has those things he just won't do, you'll know if he isn't onboard. Like myself, I'll straight up tell you. Though with everything he does want to do, he is very into it, and wants to do it to the best of his ability. Not to be the best out there, is certainly a bonus, but the ability to do the said thing is what matters. So playfulness could also sum this up.
WARM-HEARTED: He doesn't like to see another hurting, and he tries his best to help them, even if it may cost him some things. Another's well-being is far more important to him than his own. This could also result in selflessness, and understanding. I'm this way as much as I can be. Doesn't always happen. Herne nor myself are warm-heart when we've been crossed.
SPITEFUL: Also known as very sarcastic, likes to make remarks that could be found rude. He doesn't really care if remarks offend another, since he is going to be himself, and no one is going to change him for who he is. Plus it is a good way for him to vent frustrations out. Give him something to laugh at. I do this so much it isn't even funny, ^^ I am very sarcastic.
CONFLICTED: When he is alone, he thinks a lot on his loyalties and things he may do, and things he has done. Whether he regrets them or not. This can make him seem very cold at times, since he can't decide on what to do. Or it's a matter of how long can he cope with something. Example: Cats behind bars. This can lead him to finding a place to be alone just to cry. (admittedly, I do this sometimes, life is hard, and seeing all the crap going on in this world, how can you not? have you seen Aleppo?) He fights himself whether he should stay a hunter or not often, since he is nothing like a hunter. He hates so much of what goes on in the city, so he tries to spend as much time out of the city. This helps him cope with his own haunts, but there really is no cure for them. (Danny Gokey - I Will not Say Goodbye comes to mind, there are things and hurting feeling that honestly, you don't want to let go. Family loss... as much as some want the pain to vanish? Why? To forget you had that family member? I would shoulder the pain I feel from the loss. It lets me help others. Herne is the same way.)
WITHDRAWN: With as into events and doing as Herne is. He is still very withdrawn. He'll give a lot of info about himself. But he also hides a lot more than he gives out. Mainly thoughts and pains. He doesn't want to burden another with his pains and turmoils. (I'm that way so much) He'll get mad when another tries to help. He would claim he didn't ask for help, so leave me alone. (I'd do the same to be honest. I do the same. I like to work through my issues at my pace.)
BLUNT: He will say what something is as he sees. He does not cookie cutter. He does not censor. He is all-out honest with information. Though he may be very precise on how he delivers the information. This way he isn't lying, but it won't exactly be clear information. So within his blunt attire, he's manipulative, to an extent. He is quite good with keeping info honest, precise, but still open enough to point to what he wants in a situation.
LUNATIC: He is a loon at times. He'll make crazed-seeming type gestures or actions. In reality he is sane to the point he doesn't care if another thinks he is crazy. A bit more of his manipulative nature showing. Another can believe what they want of him. He isn't there to impress. He has a job to do, and he'll do it in his fashion, with or without support. (I can so vouch here, I am a loon so often, since it is fun. I'll go into public places, and make random spaz noises, because I can, it's funny weirding people out, ^^)
OBSERVANT: He pays attention to details and subtle things. I do this a lot myself. This can both a blessing and curse at times. I know there are those people who will call this statement bull, but honestly I don't care if you support it or not. It is my opinion, and based on personal experience. You can't force me into saying my own thoughts are wrong. How do you know? You are not me. Example: I can tend to tell a person's SO, simply by pictures they draw. After over 10 years of drawing, for the most part, you can tell. There are those artists where you really can't. And it also depends on how the said artist is drawing, all of this is important. How to tell, proportions, they can either be rather bluntly out there, or they can be rather subtle with it. Like when something just seems off about a pic or something. This can just be style, etc, but more than not, it's more than that. Yeah spammed that in there, but ehh~ sue me. Herne tries to soak up as much info as possible, since he is small, he needs to be able out-think whatever he may come across.
So that ought to be that. Big mess of personality stuff, opinions, etc. There are labeled as they are. Though personally, I can't see any trait being fully bad, since each trait overlaps another and they all form together to help make you into the you you are now.
1) Draw or Write out your responses 2) Select at least 1 POSITIVE character trait and 1 NEGATIVE character trait that you place on your character that may reflect the inner you - you can do more than 1 trait, but you MUST have a positive trait to balance your negative trait, and vice versa! You must have equal positive and negative traits. There is always good where there is bad. Try to balance it so your traits do not overwhelm each other. 3) There is no limit to how many traits or characters you can use, just have fun! 4) No real format. You can draw out your character's expressions to each trait, sketch them, write them out, this is for YOU! 5) Please post the information on this journal somewhere on your submission (if you draw, place in your artist comments, if you write a journal or document, place it on the top or bottom of your submission please!) 6) ANYONE can play! This is completely for fun and shouldn't be a way to judge yourself or your friends by xP 7) Tag your friends with the character(s) you'd like to see ( optional ) (I'll do this tomorrow... i am tired and need to sleep) 8) Tag me!
