Alright. I said was either gonna do an art trade, or contest prize. Turns out. I wanted to experiment with some pencils I got. They are for shading. They aren't charcoal, graphite, or lead pencils. But I can get a lot more with them. So, this came out. I was also trying some angling. The angle looks rather simple. It's a real pain to try and get down. Went through like 5 sheet of paper. I'll likely put some of those attempts in a sketch dump. It should be up in a few days. I try to put those up on the last day of that month. I really love how this came out! Saber Juanra walking on some ridge, with some fancy lighting. I was inspired to try this pic from Nightrizer, and one of her pics! No reffing was done here.
It's just a pencil to do all the shading. My mom got a whole lot of them for a buck. So, good deal for them. Though you can get awfully close to this with standard pencils. I personally use .5mm pencils to do my primary drawing. Then I would use standard wood #2 pencil for the shading. It just in how hard you push down with the pencil to get the shading. I'll likely put up a tutorial on how I do this later. I lightly touch the pencil to the farthest point of my shading, and have that with light shading. Then I would bring the pencil in a bit, and do again, but push down a tad harder. Continue the process, and you should get a gradient-like effect for the shading.
