EDIT: [i]"Holy Jim-bean stockings!"[??]

I got featured pic of the week!! I've not gotten this since I joined here, 2.5 years ago. Some may not care, but it's awesome to me! Getting your pic on the big screen is alwys awesome..

Okay, this I couldn't belive no one else has already thought of and done. Drawing Sora from the Kingdom Hearts not as a lion, but as a tiger. Nightrizer from deviantART beat me to the cheetah Sora. But still, why not tiger? I say why yes tiger. So, I drew this up, instead of finishing an art-trade. Hehe... ^^'
I had a large drive to do this cuz I knew know one else did this, I looked up for proof, and I wanted to be first. So, Muahahahahaha! Here it is!

Please vote and fave if you like and tell me what you think! :D

It's very nice. Something seems off about the colour of his hair, but the lines are very well done, especially around the legs and paws. You did splendidly on the necklace as well.

Though I must ask, and please forgive me if I am wrong, but do I spy a bit of a Firestar/Kaisertiger influence?

The original pic does look better. Scans tends to be a tad messed up though.

Well... sorta. She was one of those tings that really inspired me to draw. I have been told my style is like hers before. I think that's cool, but I don't wanna be sen as a copier. Like fraud or no originality. I do my best to avoid that. Her style reminds me of Disney, which I admire.

Sorry if I'm babbling on, btw. ^^'

Yeah scans are problematic at times.

Ah, not at all. Your style is reminiscent of hers, but it doesn't look like the work of a copier, it has originality as well. With all the people in the world complete originality is nigh on impossible.

Anyway your drawing is nice. :)

Only with a brand new scaner they are not. And that last's... ten minutes?

Yeay! I feel kinda dumb right now. I'm wodering what nigh means exactly. I get the essance of it, but "nigh on impossible" I don't quiet get? XD

I do thank you. :D

It seems that way sometimes. I've gone more towards trying to perfect digital art to get away from scanner issues.

Nigh means "1: near in place, time, or relationship —often used with on, onto, or unto. 2: nearly, almost." So basically "nigh on impossible" means it's practically impossible, or nearly impossible, something like that.

Yeah, I got a tablet, but my PC likes dropping me for no reason, so I don't use it too much. Using Xbox 360 right now.

I was figuring that, but wasn't 100% sure if that was it. Come to think of it, most things likely would not exist to this day if things were all complete originality. Everyone has their own opinions, thus making all of those differences and putting the globe where it is now.

I wish I had a tablet, I have to use my laptop's mousepad.

Yeah, if people didn't ever expand on the ideas of others some things would be very difficult to accomplish, and art is all about being inspired, wherever the inspiration comes from, and quite often we consciously or not derive inspiration from one or more other artists.
?
  FeatheredSeclude June 6th, 2013, 4:58 am
I cannot use a laptop mouse pad worth a crap.

Exactly! More like most things. XD
Totally concur there. If inspiration didn't exist. 95% of all art, in every form would not exist either. I'm real into the art's and such. Especially what I'm doing here and music. Orchestral music. I've done that since 4th grade. Trombone, Baritone, French Horn, any brass instrument, tenor Sax, and I'm currently working on piano. Wish I had a full-sized 88 key, and not a 49 keyed roll out. But Ya work with what you got.

It is very difficult, but with work it becomes easier.

Yeah, some sort of influence is necessary.
Music is something I am really no good at. I've tried to learn a few instruments, but I'm just not good at it. I suppose I could be if I tried really hard at it, but I just can't bring myself to.

All things work that way, honestly. When I first started to use the tablet, it was like "Tagla humbug?! How do people use this!"
I had to adjust from looking at where my pen is to the screen. It's not a big deal after you fiddle around for a couple hours. This is the first pic I drew with the tablet. Ta da!
Doing music, and art are both things you have to want to do to really excel in it. Though you also could just have a talent for it too. But I truly think it's something you'd have to want to do.
I do admit there are those are good at it, but don't like it. I got my share of those things too. It's called school.

Yeah, I'm hoping to get a tablet soon myself, I'm hoping it will be easier to work than the mousepad, but as I'm getting quite used to it this way, it could be the other way. :ha:
Ah that's pretty good for a first go at it. A lot of people aren't doing that good after many times.
Yeah, true, it is about wanting to do it. I don't have enough drive for music, so I'm not that good there, though I do love music, just not inspired to try my hand at it.
Yeah, I used to be really good at school though I hate it myself, but well, now I'm just scraping through college. lol

They are cool, if ya want one that's cheap in price but will get the jog done. Go for Digi Pro. I got an 8x6 inch with wireless pen for $45 on ebay. Brand new.
Cool! Thanks a lot! I've noticed that, but I was drawing 4 yrs prior to that. So, that's likely part of it, but thanks anyway!
Music is something I just love to do, but now I have to do it all my own time. My school pulled band. I was mad. Very mad actually.
Trig is something I'm scarping through. It literally makes no sense to me. I'm guessing 95% of the time. My bro is whining about Algebra and such, and I'm like," I'd kill to get that back. It was actually something I kinda liked in school. It was fun, but a challenge" Not sure why though. Kinda like drawing and band. They were always fun to do, but always a challenge to do well.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks. ^^
Years prior to that or no, drawing on one must be difficult, as I find drawing on the DS touch screen or a touch screen computer difficult, I imagine using a tablet would be as well at first. So, I think you did well for first time using it.
They pulled band? I never knew of a place where that had actually happened. Wow, even though I was never in band, I'd be mad if my school did that too.
Ah, I remember the days when Algebra was easy. But I haven't done math of any kind in years and now I suck at it, lol.

Welcome!
Before I got the tablet. I actually got the tablet last November. B-Day present. I've tried it with a touchscreen laptop, it's cool for like twenty minutes then it loses the calabration for the screen. So, a tablet in the long run is better. Take a look at newest tablet stuff. I'd give a link, but I'm using my 360 now. My PC is havin an all nighterscan run. Think I picked up virus checking for some torrents. Crud. Not a big virus thouh, it's spyware last I saw. Or that's what VP said.
Me neither till last January. They puled it mid year, wth?!
Once you adjust to usin the tablet, it's pretty easy to use. Band is one of the main things that help a school show off. So pulling it can only mean the school is in its last strides. You've you don't have math in college? Wndering if that's good or bad?

Ah, I see. Ok, I'll have a look at your newest tablet stuff for sure. ;)
Yeah, viruses tend to be sneaky when you're messin' with torrents, but they usually ain't bad ones, so it should be fine.
Yeah that's true. My schools were always crappy, but they weren't doing that badly.
Oh, there's math, I just only had to take one course (I went like: Theatre major->Art major->English major) and I took it my first semester 2 years ago, it was just basic math because I don't need math in the fields I've tried. Other people have lots of math.. just not me. :P

My PC is good again, so here's some a couple links: Moon of the Forest | Juanra Cheetah Form I got some in between those but these to me stand out from those.
Humbug. I'm assuming this, could very well be wrong, but based on what you're trying to major in, are you trying to an actor/actress... discard that. ^^
I'm being told that Geometry is something an artist needs to know. I'm like bull! I've done fine without it. I regret knowing it. They get everything you think makes sense and put that into a blender, then deep fry it in some cow fat, and serve it to inside a radioactive field saying lunch is served. Solve these equations. I loath Geo and Trig.

Ah yeah, those are much better than the first one you showed. You got a background on one, that's great, I don't draw backgrounds much, if ever, cos they're hard. Yours looked good though.
I was going for that. Had trouble with that, so tried art, and now I'm gonna do something with English, and I'm gonna stick with this one.
Yeah I've not needed any kind of math for art, so I don't think it's necessary.
?
  FeatheredSeclude June 8th, 2013, 2:56 am
Coolz! ;) Yeah, that one was a school project that took like three weeks to do. Though parts of the background, like the rock in the distance, could use some more work.
Welp, everyone should always have something to fall back to. With me it's art, and music... then likely some blacksmithing. I know how to that. It's not something you should take for granted though. You can very easily burn yourself, and such. Though I do more of wood blacksmith. Make swords, bows, stuff in that manner. I like to make things. So art, music, carpentry/blacksmith are things I enjoy.
Exactly! :0
