He knew that he never should have made that deal. His mate and their cubs were in grave danger and he had to help them any way he could, but the pact he made with the stranger was all for nothing. He arrived back to his pride just seconds too late. He watched as the last one was slaughtered before him. The heat started in his eyes. They stung and burned as hot tears streamed down his face. His heart beat a wild rhythm against his ribs and his whole body was engulfed in pain. He roared out, all the anguish inside him escaping and in that moment, he gave in to the demon inside him.
His mind went blank and he lost consciousness. All he remembered was the scent of blood.
He woke, surrounded by the bodies of the rogues that had held his family hostage. Mere scraps of ripped flesh and scattered bones were all that remained of them. He threw up, horrified at the carnage around him and vowed from that day to never let the demon take control again. He wanders, alone for fear of letting any get close to him. He does not want to let them see the darkness within him.
This lion wears heavy buddhist prayer beads around his neck to remind himself to remain calm and in control. He has two forms, normal and controlled by demon. He is always possessed but can keep the demon at bay... most of the time...
