[Private] Songo and Sirom - A Sweet Dream

This is a private RP between PrincessKari and I.

We decided to go ahead and do a RP together and see how our characters will turn out in the long run. ^^ This RP is about Kari's character, Sogno who's a affectionate lioness who enjoys helping others in great need. Today however, she will embark on a adventure and experience a life changing aspect in her life. ^^

The Great Circle of Life was already moving up high in the bright blue skies. A young brown furry lion named Sirom was resting by a tree, staying close by the shadows to keep himself cooled and comfortable. Temperatures were rising gradually and it seemed it was going to be another hot day. With a disturbed sigh, Sirom slowly moved himself up on all fours to stretch out all of his furry brown legs to make them contended. Feeling distraught from this already blistering hot day, Sirom carried himself across the lush patch of grass that rubbed along his underbelly till he reached to a nearby waterhole.

"It's already a hot day and I'm desperate for water. When will the Pride Lands get a cool day for once?" The young lion thought and leaned down to lap a few times on the cool refreshing water's surface.

Minding his own business, Sirom's fuzzy brown ears perked up momentarily to hear the sounds of nature becoming conscious. A herd of antelope should be alive during these early hours and he figured it was best to make his way over there to get a quick breakfast. Lapping up a few more times, Sirom licked over his ebony muzzle lips to thoroughly clean away any excess amounts of water that may be dripping from his saturated muzzle as he steadily made his way in the direction where a herd of antelope may linger.

A light tan female stepped softly from the jungle into the open plains and her blue eyes canvassed the area for life. She noticed the antelope grazing not too far away and a smirk crossed her delicate features. The female was built to hunt and the muscles under her pelt reflected this, but her skill in hunting singly also benefited her. She had been through this game one too many times when hunger called her and she was about to win once more.

She moved swiftly as her black tipped paws carried her through the tall grass, crouching down her light underbelly hit the dirt. Glossy crystal blue eyes glanced behind her to make sure nothing could disturb her stakeout; she had already picked her prey in her mind. She shifted her weight onto her back paws, as she crouched down lower and began to crawl through the grass.

Songo’s ears flickered atop her head as she waited for the antelope to get back to grazing; her tail flickered slightly behind her with irritation. Her blue eyes glanced up at the blazing sun and she emitted a soft sigh as the heat continued to beat down upon her soft tan pelt. She shifted her weight once more as she decided the smaller antelope would be the easiest one to pick, her blue eyes narrowed locking on.

Sirom's eyes fixated upon a small herd of antelope that weren't too far off from where he was positioned. He was obviously right about their ritual of morning hour feeding and most of them seem too energetic to slip away. His eyes continued to scan upon each and every antelope until he spotted a small looking one. A devious smirk formed around his ebony muzzle lips, already having thoughts of stalking right on ahead but something inside of him told him to wait till the right moment.

Sirom's eyes were beginning to incandescent with determination, his brown pelt glimmered brightly as he lowered himself down into a hunting posture. The antelopes were slowly moving from one spot to another, eventually leaving their young a few yards away. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to strike and without hesitation, he inched himself closer and closer to where this defenseless antelope was feeding. Trying to keep a lower profile, Sirom made a quick haste towards his prey, keeping his fiery brown eyes locked on the helpless creature and hoping to get a free meal.

Blue eyes widened as she watched the male lion spring towards her prey and bring it down, she growled to herself. She watched as the herd began to run from him and she jumped up to her paws. She pounced after a medium size antelope her gait slowing down as she tried to catch up. Songo slowed to a stop as the antelope got away and her cranium snapped behind her as she laid eye upon the brown male.

She stepped back towards him her ears flattened back and her blue eyes glared at him with anger, “You fool..You let my dinner get away!” she snapped at him. As she stood before him and her stomach growled slightly, reminding her of why she was so mad.

Her blue eyes flickered slightly before turning back towards the dust in the air, “They’re gone for now..” she muttered to herself.The tan female shifted as she reclined back to her haunches, her tail flicking behind her slightly. She spread her ebony tipped paws and retracted her claws, “Did you not notice me there waiting..” she said using her forepaw to point to the spot for the male.

Sirom pounced upon the defenseless antelope and immediately latches his strong jaws around its neck, keeping a firm grip to make the animal's oxygen intake to deplete. Once the poor animal was motionless, he released it from his powerful jaws and noticed that majority of the herd was already dashing off in the opposite direction. He knew his plan was executed perfectly and nothing could've went better until his fuzzy brown ears perked up from a enraged lioness who appeared out of nowhere in matter of seconds. Speechless, Sirom wouldn't of guessed that this lioness was hunting the same antelope that he was.

"Excuse me? I wasn't aware of your presence miss." He managed to say, eying down at his kill before glancing up at the lioness with a grin.

"They won't be back for another couple of hours. You know, I won't mind sharing this with you. If you're hungry, you're free to chow down with me. I'll let you eat first since you seem more hungrier than me." Sirom finished and took a few paces back, admiring the view in front of him. This furry tan lioness was indeed attractive and his eyes couldn't seem to leave her irresistible body. Not wanting to seem rude, he soon turned around and remained quiet.

Bringing her paw down to the ground she growled slightly irritated, “Why would you share with me male?” She huffed at him. Songo found herself standing back up to her paws and she paced slightly in front of him. Her blue eyes looking from Sirom to the land before her, in her head she was debating if she would chase the herd or take his offer for a meal. Songo’s pride was too much and she refused to be pitied upon by some male.

Glossy blue eyes looked down at the antelope and then she glanced back to the male watching her, she stepped to the side uneasily. Her stomach growled loudly and she cursed to herself for ending up in this pathetic situation, she really looked like a helpless lioness. Songo inhaled deeply and relaxed for a moment her ears perked forward, “Alright. But if you insist..” she said looking to the male.

She swiftly stepped towards the antelope and put her muzzle towards the belly, she looked back at Sirom. The male didn’t move so she assumed it wasn’t a trap. Using her teeth Songo sunk her fangs into the belly and ripped a chunk of the fresh meat off. She swallowed it and then went back for another devouring it before stepping back away from Sirom. Her pink tongue poked out as she licked blood off her muzzle before speaking, "What is your name? Oh..yeah..Thank you." she added sourly. Songo reclined back to her haunches lazily, she let out an exhausted sigh.

Each and every irritation voice coming from the lioness made Sirom feel even more uncomfortable, sensing that there was no way he'll make up for what he had done to her plans for this kill. Even though he was willing to offer with his kill, he'd hope she'll come to her senses and be more civilized. After a few minutes of silence, Sirom glanced over his broad shoulders to watch the mysterious lioness come by and soon in front of him. Apprehending that she calmed down, he listened closely to what she was saying and responded with a friendly nod.

"You're very welcome. I'm sorry if you were going after this antelope, I guess it was fate's doing." He replied softly and shifted positions so that his haunches were more comfortable.

"My name's Sirom, I'm a rogue lion in these parts of the Pride Lands. My old Pride had since vanished long ago but I wouldn't like to talk about it really. It's nice to meet you..." Sirom's voice trailed off, gawking back over to the lioness with an embarrassed facial expression.

"Sorry, what's your name?" He asked politely as his fuzzy brown ears were lowering down gently upon his cranium.

Now that her hunger was silenced Songo could focus on the task at hand, this male. Her blue eyes glanced over his structure and she took it all in as he spoke. “You believe in fate…”she said with a slight smirk. Songo slowly stretched out her forepaws and laid on her belly, the soft grass smashed beneath her. She lounged slightly as her blue eyes peered up at the still chattering male.

Her ears perked forward as he asked her for a name, “Songo. I’ve been traveling for a while now and I stumbled upon these pride lands. I was following the antelope…” she added softly. Her long tan tail curled up by her side and she briefly smiled at Sirom, “Pleasure is all mine and I’m a rogue as well. I've been a rogue since I was a young cub.” she replied softly as her voice trailed off. Using her ebony tipped paw she smashed down the blades of grass, her glossy blue eyes glancing up every now and again. She lifted her muzzle and let out a yawn laziness kicking in after her meal. “So…do you live around here..?” she asked him.


ooc: Setting Change:Grey clouds started to roll in overhead Sirom and Songo, the sun disapearing behind the ashen clouds. Darker clouds still in the distant but seemed to be inching closer to let loose its water upon them.

Smiling a little bigger from what she was saying, Sirom's eyes fixated upon the lioness's structure as he listened closely to what she was saying about herself. His fuzzy ears remained erect while he thoroughly paid attention on what her life was like. Giving his head a tilt, he was surprised that their lives were similar in a way and he wondered where she might be heading off to after this small encounter.

"Songo huh? I really like the ring of your name, sounds really awesome." Sirom replied politely, glancing over to the half eaten antelope now as his two fore paws pressed firmly against one another.

"You and I sorta experienced the same life, we've been rogues ever since we were cubs and somehow, we managed to get through life thus far. I was curios, do you live in any specific location?" He asked and admired her figure once more, having a much better position to thoroughly examine her features. There were unique traits that she had that made her different from other lionesses which made him quite surprised. With the gray clouds rolling in now, Sirom slowly moved up on all fours and arched out his furry brown back for a long stretched. He sensed that it was probably going to rain soon and wondered if there was any close shelter that they may borrow.

"Looks like it's going to rain, gray clouds are rolling in. Would you like to tag along and find some shelter?" Sirom offered, showing a much warmer smile.

She smirked slightly, ”The same lives…me and you are completely different.” she said with a short laugh. She lifted her forepaw and stroked her ebony hued chest fur back into place, her pink tongue licked her paw as she groomed quickly. Crystal blue eyes glanced up at Sirom and she slowly stood up on her paws her tail swishing behind her.

“I’ve survived this far on my own, that’s how I managed.” She responded in a cold tone, ”Males don’t take kindly to females who can stand up for themselves.” She added flashing her claws as she lifted a paw. Her blue eyes gazed down on them and she quickly retracted them before setting her paw back. “I don’t have a home, thats because I prefer to come and go as I please. Less trouble for me”

She watched his actions closely and she caught him staring her down, she slowly made her way towards his face. ”It’s not polite to stare..” she snapped slightly as she stepped past him. Her eyes had caught a small rock formation not too far from where she was standing. ”Your welcome to join me if the kitty doesn’t like the rain..” she said giving Sirom a slight smirk. Her muzzle lifted towards the cloudy sky as the rain came down upon her cranium; she felt the small water droplets fall onto her pelt.
