[Closed] Redkite and Dark Huntress

[RedKite]

"You seem docile enough..." He grins, making his way over to her through the trees.

[Dark Huntress]

Charleigh looked down at him from her perch. "Appearances are often deceiving," she said warningly before hanging her bow back up. She couldn't bring herself to kill him, though she knew she should-it'd be one less risk. She sighed and moving over as he pulled himself up.

*can we switch to morning soon?*

[RedKite]

*Yeah!*

Walaghai smiles and unzips the front pocket of his pack, he gets out some dry crackers and offers her one politely. "So, you're the district 12, then, huh?" He whispers. A mockingjay flies out over their heads and he cups his hands to his mouth and blows through them, creating a whistling sound that was an exact copy of the mockingjay's call. It cocks it's head and looks at the teenagers with its green/grey eyes.

"Cool, isn't it?" He grins.

Tabatha moves closer to Zayden and grins as she lights up a small fire to warm them as the dawn light spills mist over the forest floor.

She puts her knife over the flame and they both laugh as she spits on it to create a low sizzle that makes the blade glow red. She smiles at him and flicks her short black hair out of her eyes. She blinks her eyes and her long dark lashes rise and fall slowly her face takes on a loving form she moves even closer to him and their eyes meet in a unknowing loving gaze.

"Yeah," Charleigh smiled then produces a blanket from her pack. She turns over and lays it over her body to keep her warm. Thinking soothing thoughts, she finally tricked herself into falling asleep.

Zayden shook himself and looked away, at the few. "We should go to bed," he said, the mood a little awkward. He left the blankets in the survival packs for Tabatha and laid down to sleep.

Night passed rather quickly, Zayden quickly falling asleep. He stood up quickly, put the fire out, and readied everything they'd need before prodding Tabatha awake. "Come on," he said in a low tone. She followed and he led her to the cornucopia, where he instructed her to slip in and take care of the sleeping inside while he 'distracted' the watch.

Easily walking up from behind, Zayden effortlessly lopped off the young boy's head. He slid his sword back into its sheath and joined Tabatha in with the corpses.

"Nice one..." She grins. She pockets another five knives. She turns to him and holds out his sword, or at least a sword that looked like his.

"If ya want it, ya gotta come get it!" She smiles and draws the sword ready to fight, "We've gotta practise!"

Zayden shook his head at her. "I'm going to go check the perimeter, I'll let you know if I'm planning on dying," he flashed her a white grin then ducked out of the metal structure. A few steps into the woods and he already heard the unmistakable sound of something walking. They faded quickly, however, and he frowned. He took a few more steps then, for some reason, whirled around. A girl with large brown eyes and long brown hair was behind him, the girl from District 12. Her bow was drawn, but she was trembling.

Wow! he thought smugly, So easy." With one fluid moment, he snapped the branch beneath her feet, sending her stumbling backward, then kicked her in the thigh, hard enough to hear a snap. She collapsed to the ground, then back up against a tree, hunting knife in hand.

"Kill me already," she breathed.

"Kill you?" Zayden laughed. "Nah, don't feel like it." He gave her his hand, but she pushed herself to her feet. He shrugged. "Zayden, District 1."

"Charleigh, District 12...," she watched him uneasily.

"Charleigh, I said I wasn't going to kill you yet, I'm not that sick! Come on," he didn't know why, but he liked her. Maybe for hesitating and not putting an arrow through his skull, but he also knew Tabatha wouldn't be happy to have company.

Charleigh frowned as she followed him. She didn't trust him. At all. He was too...calm. She needed the chance though, the chance to survive. Maybe they wouldn't be that bad, but she knew she was a liability, an extra. Only two came out. And she wasn't going to be one according to that plan. She was starting to feel bad for leaving the boy back at the tree. He at least wasn't already on a team...

Walaghai sits in the tree, watching the mockingjays flit about. He drops easily to the forest floor, not even creating a snap as he lands. He smiles and goes off to check his snares. He tugs the rabbit from the snare and sets up a new one. For a moment, he scans the area before carrying on with his gathering.

Tabatha whirls around and looks at the scrawny district 12. She scowls at Zayden thoroughly.

Zayden shrugged. "I like her...a lot," he smiled as he glanced back at Charleigh, whose knuckles were white from gripping her bow. "Tabs, meet Charleigh, District 12. Charleigh, meet Tabatha, District 1," he sighed as the two apprehended eachother with catlike animosity. "We should probably eat something," he said awkwardly, attempting clear the tension.

She scowls still.

"So you're the wimp I almost killed, eh?"

Charleigh shrugged. "As I recall, I escaped fair and square, and without any training." She shrugged. Zayden rolled his eyes and grabbed Charleigh's wrist, "Come on and let me the up your leg."
