I actually remember that comic from when it first came out -- it wasn't that interesting, though. It was a lot like a typical Timon and Pumbaa TV episode. In the comic, Timon and Pumbaa end up in a surfing contest with "Kahuna" Quint.
Heh, I was referring to "Birds of a Feather" but was a little disappointed after reading it, it could have worked better...

Simba was running on the savannah in search of entertainment. After finding some coconuts in a clearing, the lion cub immediately came up with a game: he tossed them up in the air and tried to catch them.
"What are you doing?" Zazu frowned. "Is this an activity for a future king? I'll teach you something useful!"
Zazu began to teach Simba how to behave as a king, but the cub was soon bored, and he again began to toss coconuts higher and higher.
"Stop that nonsense!" protested Zazu. "It won't useful to you when you become a king." "Okay," sighed the lion cub gloomily. "I won't play anymore!"
The lesson continued. Zazu told Simba that the king does not twitch his whiskers or tail in the presence of his subjects. But this lesson was interrupted by Nala.
"Simba!" she cried, panting from running so fast. "The river overflowed its banks! Animals could die!" "Where are they?" asked Simba. "This way! Hurry!"
In the midst of the raging water, a monkey and a lizard were sitting on a small island. They trembled and clung to each other. "The current isn't very fast, but they can't swim!" said Nala.
Simba dropped a few coconuts into the water, and by jumping from one to another, he made his way to the island. Gently grasping the lizard in his teeth, he moved back to the shore the same way.
Then he went back to save the monkey, but by that time, all the coconuts had been carried away by the water. "Don't be afraid," said Simba. "I'll think of something!"
Fortunately, the island was strewn with logs. Simba balanced one on a rock and winked: "You want to go for a ride?" Happily, the monkey flew through the air and landed on the shore.
Then he swam safely to shore, and the small island became covered by the water. "Thank you, Thank you!" said the monkey and the lizard. "You saved us!"
"You're a real king!" "Yes...what can I say..." said Zazu, scratching his head.
"From now on you can play games wherever and whenever you want.
I shall allow it!"

One day, Simba and Nala were hungry and went into the jungle in search of food. "There’s always something tasty in the jungle!" said Simba. Suddenly Nala saw a long trail of ants crawling on the ground. "I wonder if they are looking for something to eat too? Let's go after them!" she suggested.
The ants soon led them to a bush, which was covered with ripe fruit. "You were right about the ants!" Simba laughed. The fruits were very tasty and ripe, and sweet juice oozed from them onto the ground. "Don’t worry, be happy the ants will clean up the mess after we finish eating!" Nala smiled.

(The words under the hyenas are obviously their names -- Shenzi, Banzai and Ed.)
But suddenly the cubs heard a menacing growl behind them. Turning, they saw a hyena, which was preparing to jump. “Run!” squeaked Nala. The cubs ran into the bushes but two more hyenas blocked their path.
Then Simba had an idea. “Throw fruit at them!" he whispered to his friend. “That won’t frighten them!" murmured Nala. Again, she was right. The hyenas only laughed when the cubs hit them with the ripe fruit. “That’s not going to help you!" they said.

But suddenly, the hyenas howled in unison -- they were covered by a horde of ants! Sensing the sweet juice, the ants swarmed the hyenas from head to toe! The hyenas rushed away, shrieking. "What fine fellows -- they led us to food and gave us the opportunity to eat in peace!" smiled Simba.
