The Lion King: Six New Adventures

I have only read "A Tale of Two Brothers" and there's a thing that confuse me about people's visions based on this FANFICTION...

At no point does the book even imply that Ahadi would be quick-tempered and the very least abusive. Yet many, I hear, theorize that he was abusive. WTF??! Come on - if he was so bad, how the heck did Mufasa grow up to be so gentle, stable, and great father in every way!? It makes absolutely no sense - the abusive theory. Two children raised by the same abusive father can not turn out as differently as Scar and Mufasa. The only thing the book suggests is that Scar simply grew horribly jealous of Mufasa's place and all the attenton he got from their Dad. Where in the world does the abusive theory come from and with what reasoning seeing to the adult versions of the brothers?

I haven't read any of them yet. I want to wait until I hold them in my hand to get the full experience. I tried reading "A Snake in the Grass" online, but it just wasn't the same. I only currently own "A Tale of Two Brothers" (click for picture) which I got for FREE at a used book store. I just haven't found the time to read it yet, but I will during the holidays.

I doubt I will be able to afford buying the complete set online. The last three times the Six New Adventures books appeared on eBay, they sold for $90, $56, and $103.

One of the worst parts of about being new here is all the conversations I was never able to be apart of. Anyway, here's my two cents worth.
On xfire I have nearly 500 friends
Moka I think everytime I read a post by you, my life feels less and less significant by comparsion.
Yeah, you could just print them out and staple them together and pretend that they are books :D
That sounds like the redneck version. I can say that, I'll from the South.
I know what you mean, Josh. I treat mine with extra special care, making sure none of my cats get near them and avoiding foods and drinks when reading.
The books are really great, many interesting stories there. The comics are cool too.
If my ever cat got on my copy, assuming I had more than one book, I would never let him get near me again :P
I really want to get this book sometimes. I have found it on Amazon, a while ago but I'm not so sure if it's already bought. It was $100! :disgust:
That's nothing. Try $1000 DOLLARS. And that's just for one book!
Image
WTF Amazon! I know they are rare, but not that rare.
Haha, KM I share in your paranoia. Mine is probably less because my copies are opened and a bit damaged. But, I own one of the 3500 Art of The Lion King books (download/file.php?id=361&mode=view). It's a recommended purchase if you can find one :] They usually run around 200 bucks./
Yep. That just confirms my earlier suspicions.
I got my set off ebay a long time ago too. I felt bad though because I don't think the seller realized what he had. I paid $5 total for them. Including shipping. I felt bad, but then again I didn't.
EPIC JEALOUSY!! I haven't found a copy lower than $60 dollars. That's a lot money to someone like me.
I saw them for $30 on some site O.o
Really, what site was it? *notices user hasn't been active in a year* :( *sob*
there's always an idiot that puts an insane price on something (I saw a TLK coloring book priced at $104, and I bought the thing a year earlier in stores for like $2).
I know what you mean. Which of these is not like the other?

You really are lucky. The box set is out of stock and the individual books sell for around $70 PER BOOK. Anyway, I hope you enjoy them and have a Merry Christmas!
