Name: Kito (Kit for short, although he hates to be called this)
Meaning: Precious (Swahili)
Species: Leo Panthera (lion)
Gender: Male
Age: Adolescent
Appearance: Kito’s fur color is tan while his mane (or at least, what little bit of it there is at his age so far) is of a dark brown. Having piercing emerald eyes and a devious looking smile, it’s hard to resist Kito’s charm when he wants to pour it on. Kito’s body build is much more toned than his friend Hiroshi's but the two are still quite evenly matched when it comes to play fighting, or at least, for now anyways.
Personality: While being a bit on the arrogant side at times and having a questionable sense of humor, Kito always tries to be the center of attention and his charming demeanor and sarcastic nature both make him loved and hated by anyone and everyone he meets. While rarely taking life very seriously, there are a few things that Kito will fight tooth and claw for, those being friends, family and females. Even with his sharp tongue and quick wit, Kito knows when to behave, especially if he thinks his own life or those he cares about, are in jeopardy.
Backstory: Kito was born into a pride whose territory spanned quite a bit of distance, several hundred miles away from The Pride Lands. His mother, Fila, was one of the lead lionesses for their hunting party and times were good for his pride up until a year or so after he was born. A wave of Feline Distemper left him and his mother alone, forced to fend for themselves as they set out to find a new pride to join. Lucky for Kito and his mother, Scar happily took them in and Fila quickly became one of the top hunters during Scar’s reign. Kito himself, easily found his own little spot within Scar’s ranks, befriending Hiroshi, Ari and soon after, Kweli, causing him to forget about his unsavory past as he focused upon the future instead.
