Appearance: Zina’s fur is of a snow white color, making her stand out in a crowd like a sore thumb. While not being an albino lioness, her fur keeps her from taking part in typical lioness behaviors, such as hunting. Zina’s body build is perfectly per portioned for her age and she prides herself on her good looks. She has yellow eyes that catch light rays quite dramatically, giving her an eary appearance at night. The only distinctive marking Zina holds is a scar that traces along the underside of her neck, along her throat. Other than that, the only dead giveaways about her appearance would be her fur color, the way her eyes sparkle in the light and the crafted pouch she carries around her neck that covers up her scar.
Personality: Zina keeps her feelings closely guarded and tends to surround herself by a thick wall, emotionally speaking. Very untrusting, especially towards males, Zina’s lifestyle has led her astray. Opting to forge her own path in life and never being the type to settle down in one place for very long, Zina’s personality lacks a lot to be desired. Quick with the wit and always ready to stir up trouble wherever she goes, Zina’s the type that you always want to keep an eye on however, you can’t help but grow attached to.
Backstory: Zina was born in a pride that resides quite some distance from The Pride lands. Her parents were the rulers of their pride and upheld much respect and authority for the lands to which they owned. This proved to be their downfall however, as their lust for power corrupted them indefinitely. Due to her abnormal appearance at birth, Zina was shunned from day one. Her mother despised her for the way she looked and more so, for how much attention she attracted from the pride’s males. Her father was quite the opposite, but not in the good way you might be thinking. His love for his daughter stretched far beyond the boundaries of good taste and due to his distasteful actions, Zina’s trust towards males would forever be tainted. Seeing how her fur color kept her from becoming a sufficient hunter, the only task that suited Zina in her pride was to learn everything there was to know about being a shaman. From finding cures to many different ailments using the natural plants and flora that grew within the surrounding areas, to more devious concoctions crafted by her mother, Zina’s knowledge of everything that nature had to offer would prove to be her only useful trait but one that would serve her well. At around 1 year of age, Zina’s mother decided that she had had enough of her unruly daughter. Being utterly jealous of her looks and talent when it came to being a shaman, her only solution was to eliminate her daughter herself. This is where Zina’s scar along her neck derives from, as her mother almost ended her life and left her for dead. Fortunately for Zina, her vast knowledge of herbs and such saved her life, as she was able to tend to her fatal wound in time. Taking up the life of a rogue, despite being a lioness, Zina lived a very rough life. Having to fend off numerous males for various reasons, Zina took every opportunity to learn more and more about the plants and animals in every location she wandered to, making her quite intelligent in that regard, although the way to which she opted to use this knowledge would most definitely be seen as unsavory. After living this lifestyle for a good two years or so, Zina had met a few staple characters to whom she could trust to some degree, whether that be by choice or other matters. She had learned almost everything there was to know about being a shaman and used this to her advantage every chance she got. Always having a fresh supply of herbs and materials to work with, kept neatly within a well crafted buffalo hide pouch that she keeps tied around her neck at all times when traveling, Zina’s future is unknown. While never being able to stay put in one place for very long, due to her past and own nature, Zina continues to try and find solace in life in whatever ways she can.
