Mipa is a short, chocolate-brown lioness with large blue eyes and a grey belly. Her fur is longer than most lionesses, giving her a fuzzy appearance, and quite dark too. This, combined with her massive weight, makes her one of the most unusual lionesses in all of Africa. Nowhere on the continent is there a lion fatter than Mipa. Her grey belly is so large it hangs almost to the ground, forcing her to take tiny waddling steps as she shuffles about. When she does, her whole body jiggles like a fat bellydancer’s tummy. Because her limbs are so thick and chubby, they look shorter than they really are, and her face, though pretty, is round like the moon.
Because she’s not a fast runner, she usually wears a matt of weaved grass to help her camouflage. It hangs down to about the middle of her body, and over her eyes like grass. She makes it of a special type of grass that masks her smell, and which she thinks makes her smell pretty.
