one question tho.....to anyone who has listened to the jackal villain's song: how much insight does it give us into the jackal character? is it lookin like he'll be irredeemably evil? i'm excited to see jackal characters regardless, but as a very devoted ancient Egyptian jackal deity enthusiast it makes me sad to see the species depicted as the bad guys. haha

And to those worrying about It Is Time, I don't think there's anything to it. On the credits, it says that song is performed by Beau Black. On all of the other songs it says the character that sings it.

Man, "Bunga the Wise" has grown on me quickly. I really like it now, and I know why: it feels very reminiscent of Howard Ashman and Allen Menkin's style. The instrumentation wouldn't feel out of place in Little Shop of Horrors.

Wait, so is the jackal Rairai or Reirei? Soundtrack says Rairai, but nearly every news article refers to her as Reirei. There's an awful lotta confusion about these character names (Makuu was misspelt as Mapu on an official Disney blog at one stage too).

Who knows? Might be like Pumbaa. I have several plushes that say "Pumba". And for a while, there was a coloring page on the old official TLK site that had it misspelled too.
