So, remember I bought five of these, and I was interested to see them in person because I couldn't seem to find any images that weren't promotional?

Well, here they are!

With Ol' Daddy Simba to watch over them.

My thoughts:
They really do look different in person than to their stock image. For a start, they're a decent bit smaller than I'd imagined. That said, they fit under your arm perfectly, and they're super snuggly and very soft.
Here's a view of his face. It's a lot more complex than the promo picture seems to show, but I figured it out: His eyes are nearly pointing in different directions! It's easily forgettable, and not noticeable at all from a side view (in fact he looks great) but

...Oh, Kion, you're so cute. What was I saying again?
He looks really great side-on- Kion's definitely got a very different body type to cub Simba in the show. Simba's more all-around cuddly, but Kion's pretty muscular for a kid. This plushie nails it.
Sorry about the tag
The embroidered details seem solid, and his eyes are part embroidered, part a felty material. He doesn't really pose well unless you hold him in place, he just springs back to his original shape. His tail's kind of floppy, and there's more of that felty material on the bottom of his paws, with two divets of thread in each paw- I suspect this is the end of the thread that keeps his paws flat on the ground and pointing ahead, instead of having him mince around on pointy toes like a ballerina. I kind of wish they'd given him proper paws/pawprints, but oh well, how often am I really going to be looking at them anyway?
One major, obvious benefit to this plushie, and the last one I'm going to mention, is the fact that he has an actual plush sculpted mane and tail, rather than hair which could be subject to haircuts by enterprising young barbers.
Not that I'm speaking from experience, or anything..

The verdict: Yeah, look, if you have the cash, these aren't a bad buy. They're soft and cuddly, and they look neat.
