Got the water bottle too now, friend from the US got it, as it was 25 % off aswell, so saved almost 2 € now compared with the UK price, lol.

i was at the entertainer on thursday and i spotted these new lion guard items. so excited to see the battle packs that were featured at the toy fair this year. i had to buy bunga with reirei, also the mini figures it has kiara! would save a lot of people money buying those. each thing i took a photo of retails at £13

Wow! :D I've literally been to every walmart within 20 miles of me several times and looked through many full boxes, and I still can't find Kiara! So I'm glad she's getting released elsewhere. Do you know if the villains are the same ones that are supposed to be released in the blind bags later? They look like they might be bigger but i'm not sure. I'd hate to buy doubles of the other figures but I can't pass on the villains

Nice! I hope my stores get this stuff in soon. All I've found so far are the Return of the Roar book and Sticker Scenes book. Everything else required a long journey.

Also, TY Beanie Babies!

The ReiRei figure is normal figure size thankfully^^ i also forgot to mention i bought a magical story lion guard book for £1.99 from smyths and a soundbook for £4.99. They also has the small posh paws beanies for 6.99 so i completed my
Set for buying fuli and kion. Disneystore also had in the kion ornament and the leap n roar kion.

I saw the plush in Argos catalogue too, looked on the website and none has them in stock, so guess they just didn't came out when they should have been.

Went to Asda, the figurines they had were on sale, all half priced.

I just went on a road trip to more walmarts that I hadn't checked for Kiara yet and still no luck, and I think they're phasing out the series soon. Please if anyone's by a store that has her (number 11 on the bag) buy her for me and I'll pay for it+shipping. She's my favorite, I'm desperate, and you know I'll return the favor any time. :/

Oh and another thing I could offer in return for her, I'd email you a sewing pattern I made for the wdw adult nala plush if you want. If you're crafty you could probably make any lioness out out of it with some alterations because it's a pretty good base.

So, remember I bought five of these, and I was interested to see them in person because I couldn't seem to find any images that weren't promotional?
Image

Well, here they are! :zukazama: With Ol' Daddy Simba to watch over them. :ghost2:

Image

My thoughts:

They really do look different in person than to their stock image. For a start, they're a decent bit smaller than I'd imagined. That said, they fit under your arm perfectly, and they're super snuggly and very soft.

Here's a view of his face. It's a lot more complex than the promo picture seems to show, but I figured it out: His eyes are nearly pointing in different directions! It's easily forgettable, and not noticeable at all from a side view (in fact he looks great) but
Image

...Oh, Kion, you're so cute. What was I saying again?

He looks really great side-on- Kion's definitely got a very different body type to cub Simba in the show. Simba's more all-around cuddly, but Kion's pretty muscular for a kid. This plushie nails it. Sorry about the tag
Image

The embroidered details seem solid, and his eyes are part embroidered, part a felty material. He doesn't really pose well unless you hold him in place, he just springs back to his original shape. His tail's kind of floppy, and there's more of that felty material on the bottom of his paws, with two divets of thread in each paw- I suspect this is the end of the thread that keeps his paws flat on the ground and pointing ahead, instead of having him mince around on pointy toes like a ballerina. I kind of wish they'd given him proper paws/pawprints, but oh well, how often am I really going to be looking at them anyway?

One major, obvious benefit to this plushie, and the last one I'm going to mention, is the fact that he has an actual plush sculpted mane and tail, rather than hair which could be subject to haircuts by enterprising young barbers.

Not that I'm speaking from experience, or anything.. Image

The verdict: Yeah, look, if you have the cash, these aren't a bad buy. They're soft and cuddly, and they look neat.
