Im sorry if this doesnt quite fit the "world issues" section but i couldn't think of anywhere else to put this.
Socialist and communist
During and since the last decade or so of the 20th century many countries have chosen to adopt a capitalist system rather than a socialist one. The small amount of socialist and communist countries now compared to the amount 50 odd years ago seems to suggest that socialism is the worse system. Even many of the self proclaimed socialist countries have started adopting capitalist guidelines and laws. eg. Chinese people are now allowed private businesses and many schools aren't free.
My opinion has changed radically since writing this as I have studied economics and politics in far more detail. I think that right wing economics makes far more sense.
Capitalist
In capitalism there is a very big divide between the classes. There are the extremely rich and the extremely poor. Capitalism, in very, very basic terms is: if you do well you get tons of money, if you dont do well then you dont.
Many schools require fees, (which for obvious reasons many cant get into) this means that many people are at a disadvantage in terms of getting a job and making a living. That is the main root problem to the divide of the classes in capitalist countries. Many people dont get a good enough education (if any) which means they are poorly qualified in terms of jobs so they end up working long hours and gaining very little.
on the flip side however, capitalism can be seen as a more fair system, from the view point of: I worked hard and earned it so i should be able to keep it, whereas in a socialist country you can have very lazy people with an ill attitude earning similar amounts to the diligent and hard working. This is one of the main things that put people off socialism
Capitalism is also easier to follow because it is more inline with human nature insofar as: I want to have the best life and as much money as i possibly can, whereas socialism goes against human nature and is concentrated on working for the community rather than the individual.
Which do you believe in and do you think a socialist country (with more relaxed laws about censoring and private property than communist) is as just a viable option as a capitalist one?
