Jie De

Name: Jie De
Name Meaning: Heroic Virtue [Roughly translated]
Gender: Male
Age: 56 in human years
Species: Bengal Tiger, White
Appearance: Tall and built with beautiful white fur and luminous blue eyes to match. Despite his old age, his fur nor his features have suffered. He wears black pants, and a black long sleeve training shirt, with a black belt gilded with white seams. He also wears bandages around his fists at times, as regardless of his looking good, his body has become less tough as it used to be in his youth.
Personality: Cold, distant and very strict. Rarely does he speak to anyone who he doesn't have to, and rarely would he be caught smiling or actually being nice or caring. Though he seems like he's an angry creature, he is very much at peace with himself and never angers.
History: As a young cub, he was trained by none other than Oogway himself in the ways of the tiger. Brute strength, and precision were his finer points after all, and many of the residents of the village below used to tease him as the giant of the Valley. With proper training, he learned to use his immense size as a gift and come to peace with himself. For a short while he stayed in the Valley to protect it along side Shifu and the rest of the old five, but found himself departing to help others in villages foreign to his own. He eventually came across his student, Qiang Li the orphan tiger, and trained him for a good fourteen years. Regardless of the boy's strength and stamina, he never was at inner peace with himself. Jie tried his best to teach him control, and to suppress those terrible memories he had, but to no avail. Eventually, Qiang went on a rampage of anger when he realized the killer of his parents was still very much alive and wealthy. He caused a great deal of destruction, and it was Jie's duty to have him executed by the Emperor's order. Instead, Jie captured his old student and offered to keep him in jail to let him think about what he did for a few years, and then execute him. As horrible as it sounded, it was accepted as fair punishment. Secretly, Jie had great admiration for his student. He hoped that he would be the next Tiger role for the furious five, but unfortunately his rage blinded him from that goal. Qiang was sealed away in one of the Emperor's most heavily guarded prisons and Jie lived in bitterness and self-loathing for not being able to teach him inner peace.
