Threat from the past

Plot:

A few weeks after the Outlanders joined Simba's pride, Kopa came back. Vitani, who was in love with him as a cub, told him that they could take over a pride in the best place in the whole Serengeti called Waterlands. It was full of grassy plains, lakes, waterholes, rivers and waterfalls, a paradise for every lion pride. Kopa agreed and managed to become king of the Waterlands by defeating the previous king. Months later, Vitani gave birth to two cubs: Halali and Baka. Baka looked alot like Scar, and Kopa didn't like that. Halali looked alot like his part of the family. Everything was fine, but one day, Kopa decided that Halali would be king. Baka got jealous and attempted to make her brother to ran away, but Halali told Kopa about that and he slashed Baka on the the left eye. She got a scar on her eye. Baka then had only one thing in mind: She would take over the kingdom by force.

Small rule:

Try to be active, if you don't post in five days after your last post, you will be warned and if you don't respond in two days, you will be kicked out.

Let the RPing begin!

Today was a big day for the Waterlands. Halali's mate, Barika, gave birth to two cubs. One of them was gonna be a king someday. The cubs would be presented near a waterfall, so anyone would see them. Barika would have to pick them up and show them. Rentai was with the rest of the pride. It's a good thing I came here, there's plenty of food and water and the kings are wise. The cubs would be presented soon. She lied down and waited.

Barika stood and picked up her newborn son Khan and showed him to her kingdom "this will be your future King" she told them, she then placed him down and picked up his twin brother Waka "and this is your prince" she said as she placed him down and walked over to her mate and nuzzled him "how did i do honey" she asked

The spray of the waterfall gently showered over the presentation ceremony, each tiny droplet sparkling in the sun. As Halali watched his cubs lifted into the air, a brilliant rainbow appeared, circling the future rulers of the lands. It was as magical a moment as Halali imagined the presentations back at Pride Rock: his parent's ancestral home. He had never seen Pride Rock, or any of his distant family that probably still lived and ruled there. He kind of wished that the waterlands had a landmark like it. Then again, this area was just as beautiful and special, even if it was in a more private way. They were on the side of a large rolling hill that joined the plains on his right. The Great Waterfall was on his left, thundering down from a tall cliff and throwing up tall towers of foam and mist that almost reached the bottom of their paws. It looked to the animals of the kingdom like the lions were standing on a cloud.

After the presentation, Halali's beloved mate stepped back to join him. He returned her loving nuzzle. "I couldn't ask for a more perfect ceremony" he said "Or a more beautiful future queen to carry it out for us." A shadow seemed to cross his handsome face, dimming the beauty of the moment. "I just hope we can protect them from my sister. She doesn't have too many supporters just yet, but we have to stay alert."

Shujaa was spyping them from a distance. She heard that the cub were boys, and they would have to kill both of them before they grow up. She stayed there, wanting to hear more. She would report those info to Baka when she was done with her spying.

Rentai watched as the beautiful ceremony took place. The cubs were really cute. She wondered if she was gonna have any cubs someday. It seemed impossible to her. She closed her eyes and fell asleep. In her dream she saw that see was the queen of the Mountainlands, Malka's pride, where is was from.

Barika again nuzzled her mate and a tear came to her eye with the thought of what would happen if Baka got a hold of her beloved sons "we will just have to keep a close watch on the boys" she told him as she walked back to her cubs, she qickly realised that she couldent carry both of them at onced "a little help here" she said signaling for her mate to carry Waka as she already had Khan safley between her jaws and she waited for his reply

When Halali looked back out at the ceremony he found that most of the animals had begun to quietly make their way off, headed back for the struggle and happiness that was their own individual lives. He'd expected that, but what he did not expect was Rentai blatantly dosing off. That was definitely not something you did at the presentation of your future king. Halali had half a mind to march up to Rentai and prod her awake, but his mate's voice softened him like warm putty.

"All right Barika," he said "Back to the main den? I'm sure mom and dad will be popping in to pass on their congratulations, but we might get a little bit of alone time first if we're lucky." Noticing that he was slightly behind, Halali quickly scooped up Waka delicately in his jaws before lightly jogging to catch up to, and fall in step with, his beloved mate.

Together the future King and Queen of the Waterlanders made their way across their lands. Kopa and Vitani often spoke of these lands as being quite similar to their old pridelands, except for the obvious lack of Pride Rock, and the great cliff that bordered one edge of their lands and was the scene of the Great Waterfall. Their main den was not far off. Halali wondered who he'd find there. No waterlanders surely; he and Barika had been the first creatures to leave the ceremony, so the rest of the lands should still be quite deserted.

As Barika reached the enterance of the main den she turned back to see her mate following closley behind her, as she walked into the den she was greated by a friendly face "hello Vitani" she said as she lay Khan down at her forepaws and lay down to bathe him "why we didnt think we would see you untill later on in the day" she told her mother-in-law as she started to bathe her son

Vitani smiled as she saw Barika wander into the den with her grandson tucked safley between her jaws, when she heard Barika speek to her she was quite startled as she was daydreaming about the presentation of her own two cubs "oh sorry Barika i was in a little world of my own, hello dear" she said as she noticed Barika lying down she done so aswell and when she was questioned about her timing "well i thought i would get here early to spend some time with the little ones before Kopa got here" she told her

Shujaa walked off to her pride, since the king and the queen went in the den. Her report was ready: The queen gave birth to two sons and they were probably gonna be watched from some other lion of their pride.

Rentai woke up. She realized the presentation was over and she left embarrased that she fell asleep. She decided to go on a walk because the prince would be probably be mad at her. She slowly walked away from the den and she went to a river to drink. The water had a different taste in the land, in a good way. Everything around her looked beautiful: The trees, the waterholes, the rivers, the grassy plains... In that part of the Serengheti, it would rain alot, which meant that there were almost on dry seasons at all. She remember how the Pridelands looked when she came there. It was full of skulls. Fortunately, it was the same night King Simba came back and took the throne. Al these memories came to her mind. She shed a tear.

Khan turned over and saw his grandmother. He purred softly and tried to play with his mother's chin.

Shujaa had reached the pride, but she couldn't find Baka. She smelled the air and detected her scent. She followed the scent.
