History:
Kat was born to her unnamed mother and father. She has an older brother, Safari, who loved her dearly when she was first born. The pride she was born into had poor living conditions, unsuitable for most cubs and adults alike. The king at the time had been recently appointed anew and was still learning the ropes, causing the pride to break down partially and causing starvation among the pride. He attempted to encourage the pride members to clean up more, as they had become rather messy due to lack of structure from him. Kat's father was worried to say the least.
Her father made the choice to cast his family out of the pride until the conditions improved, much to the king's dismay. He allowed them to leave on a promise that they'd one day return before his death. Kat's father agreed, but it seemed that fate had a different plan for the family. Months later, Kat's mother and father were slain by rogues late at night. Said rogues left Safari and Kat alive to bear the pain of losing their parents. They woke up to their parents and, with her last breath, were ushered away by their mother to seek out their birth pride.
Kat and Safari fled, and soon after came upon a group of friendly lions consisting of a mother, Savanna, and her children, Lyon and Leona. Kat took a liking to and bonded with Lyon, and upon reaching adulthood, were wedded to each other by Savanna, with Safari and Leona as support. The two held off discussing the topic of cubs. Kat knew he was a family-orientated lion and pleaded for consideration, so she took that as food for her thoughts.
After sometime, Kat and Lyon's first cub was born; Raja. Raja, however, was born premature and was sick. The family was unable to provide for him. However, Safari recommended that they return to Kat's birth pride, in hopes that the previous living conditions improved. Leona and Savanna were quick to agree to the idea. Kat vaguely remembered the promise that was made between Kopa and her father and also agreed to the idea, although she was hesitant at first.
When they arrived at the lands, they were greeted with a beautiful land full of greenery and flourishing with life. The king, who had aged during her absence, was overjoyed to see Kat and Safari alive and well. Even though she didn't quite remember the king, being very young at the time of his initial rule, she was happy to see him as well. He had much concern for Kat's son after he discovered his declining health, he ended up having him spoiled rotten as he recovered.
Lyon was eventually assigned as the new king, as the king gave him the spot since he was getting much too old to lead on. Soon after his coronation, he discovered Bibi; a young, orphaned lion cub in need of a new family to care for her. However, there wasn't much Kat could do, she had become sick and wasn't nursing Raja anymore. Leona, Safari, and the old king opted to take care of Bibi while she recovered from her illness.
