Character Description
Wanaasi's father, Katili, was king of Wasteland Pride, members of which have been known to be the most cruel and brutal (but also honourable in fight) warriors Africa have ever seen and also all of them had to have black pelt. Everyone who mated with or had cubs with different coloured pelt lions were killed on the spot with their whole families as betrayers of the Pride.
One day king Katili found young, grey lioness, attacked and badly injured by hunting party of the Pride. Saying, that it's not honourable to kill defenceless lioness, he took care of her, despite objections of his older sister, Husudu. Grey lioness introduced herself to king as Dua and said that she got lost when her pride left her behind when seeking new home.
Time went by and secret love between Dua and king Katili bore fruit in form of a cub. Fearing that someone will notice it, he forbade anyone to come even near his cave. Husudu finally disobeyed him and discovered his cub. When she was about to inform Pride about it, King stopped and offered her a deal - she will become queen and he and his mate will leave and never return in exchange for keeping the secret. Husudu without thinking accepted the offer but said, that he's betrayer of all of them noneless and to mark his foolishness, she named the cub Wanaasi, which literally mean 'they betray', cursing his son to forever live in mere shadow of his father's lost greatness and to carry this treachery in his blood.
Appearance: Medium size, very muscular lion with dark grey mane and grey underbelly. His mane is black with fringe over left eye and appears to have also tufts on his ears, muzzle and elbows. He has dark blue eyes. Sharp claws always exposed. Has two small battlescars on his nose.
Personality: Usually seen calm, inside he's always angry and grumpy. He shows his true nature fighting on arena, which is only noticeable by his opponents and not by the audience. He's also incredibly brutal which was natural in pride he came from. He does not really care about honour, but doesn't cheat on arena. Outside on arena he is not afraid to kill anyone who did any damage to his reputation. He strongly believes that he was born to return the glory of his father, to be unbeatable, to be the best and one day to kill his aunt, who is queen of his former pride. He also treats his mate and sons very vigorously, but appears to have somewhat soft spot for them.
Short Bio: After his father took him away from their pride, they were seeking for home. They found small clan named Rock Clan which lived on giant rock structure which looked like arena. Leader of the Clan, Mwenda, greeted them warmly and let them stay as long as they please. Leader Mwenda and Wanaasi's father quickly became friends as well as Wanaasi and Ghaki, Leader's son. When cubs reached their adulthood, their fathers left the clan to travel and see new lands. Ghaki became new Leader and Wanaasi helped him with his new duties. But as the time went on, Wanaasi noticed that his friend is not interested in fighting on arena, so he wanted to take Ghaki's position. After his refusal, Wanaasi became obssesed with being better than him and even better than anyone to prove, that he would be better Leader.
