Kopa was never the same since Zira had attacked him, and now he hated almost everyone who had once followed her. Once he could control the rules, it wouldn't be hard to make an excuse to get rid of a lion who had once had evil intentions. Infact, he needn't wait until then. It wouldn't be hard to convince everyone that a lion who had wanted to kill Simba and take over the throne was dangerous once more. Simba was already having his doubts, and Kopa would strengthen them...
So in more than a few After SP fanfics, people depict Kopa as a kind lion and a good ruler, and make Kovu go evil again. But what if Kopa returns, but is messed up from being attacked as a cub? Would he immediately hold a grudge against all former outlanders? Would he cause another rift between the prides, and make everyone doubt Kovu? How far would he go? And if Kovu does go evil, would it be Kopa's fault? So far I've been making Kopa the kind guy in my fanfics, though Kovu isn't evil, but I'm thinking of putting a little bit of depth into Kopa's character.....
