Character Description
Mercury is my lion persona.
She is a very soft-spoken, timid lioness, who is professional to a fault... until you get to know her. Once you enter into her bubble and get past her defenses, she is one goofy, carefree individual. She tends to ramble on about things, and has almost no filter in her brain to differentiate between what CAN be said and what SHOULD be said. Sometimes she can be put off-ish, but she doesn't mean to be; she is just an overly happy, optimistic lioness who wants the best for everyone.
She comes from a modest family, who believes hard work will get you ahead in life. Even though she is related to royalty, she never used that to gain favour in the Pride. In fact, she never mentions it to strangers, in case they try to use it against her, or otherwise pretend to be someone they're not. Her family ties are also very modest: her grandmother was Queen Uru's sister, and Mercury herself, although technically Simba's cousin twice removed, has no blue blood in her veins at all, and is only related to royalty through marriage.
Friendly, optimistic, and carefree, Mercury is the embodiment of joy.
