Character Description

The king of the Heshima Pride, he is a noble yet fiery tempered young lion at the human equivelant of age 20. He may appear to be a normal lion, but he is what is known as a Shaderian, or Shadow Lion. Shaderians have an inner darkness that allows them to manifest a more powerful, but uncontrollable Dark Form, ranging from a simple Restrained form, where the Shaderian restrains his or herself, to a form only known as the Herzlos form (Swahili for Heartless). If a Shaderian hits Herzlos form, they no longer "exist" for the duration of the form, as the form is nothing more than a being of pure rage. A Shaderian's dark form is highly noticable due to it's darker, evil colorings. However, Sabre only enters these at moments of pure rage.

Sabre was born Sabre Mkombozi, born to Kiongozi, his father; and Uhuru, his mother; his family follows the tradition of giving their offspring the pride's name as a surname. The Mkombozi pride was located in a region known as Stonefield until a great famine hit, they then relocated. A few years later, they returned and Sabre met the two lionesses Uzuri and Miyo. At age 18, Sabre fell for Uzuri, just days before a devastating hyena attack. Sabre and his parents were the only survivors, but they were separated and he believes that they are dead. He is now the mate of the lioness Rose and they formed the pride Heshima with the twins Asani and Satako as their first children. Sabre is a peaceful leader, avoiding war at any turn, unless it is unavoidable.
