They had spent the night huddled together on a dune. Kato hadn't dared to speak a word out of fear Sabri might blame him for this.
The next morning they set out to either find their home or food and water. As the day dragged on, Sabri fell down a couple of times. Kato helped him up and urged him on.
Later in the day, Sabri stumbled again. He lay down. "I can't go on," he wheezed. "I'm thirsty."
Kato turned on his heel. "Please get up. I'm sure we'll find water over the next hill."
"You said that 3 hills back," the lighter cub said annoyed. "I'm tired, I want to go home."
Kato looked away. "I want to go home too," he sighed.
Sabri's eyes narrowed and angrily he got up. "Than maybe we shouldn't have left on one of your so-called adventures!" he snapped, then stalked off.
Kato followed him. "I'm sorry," he said, but Sabri didn't give him one look.
Silently they walked on. The next hill didn't find them water or the next after that, or the next....
"I can't...." Sabri muttered and dropped to the ground.
"Sabri!"Kato nudged his cousin. "Get up, we can't stay here."
