Pride: Pridelander (daughter of Vitani but born in the Pridelands)
Personality: She acts like a princess--very snobby, know-it-all, like the world revolves around her. As an adult, her personality changes into one of more aggression.
Description: light reddish-orange fur, dark reddish-orange stripe (like Zira) a brown eyepatch like her mother, colored toes, light tan inner ear and tail tuft, with reddish orange eyebrows, bright blue eyes and a light pink outlander nose. As an adult, her fur gets lighter, and she gains an outlander-like snout (it was pridelander-shaped before) freckles (like her mother) and light brown ear rims.
Other: At the time Safi is born, there is only one other lion cub her age in the kingdom, but since he is Upendi's son, Safi is not allowed to play with him. As such, she ends up becoming best friends with a cheetah cub, Haramu.
History: Safi is born to Vitani during the reign of Queen Upendi. Safi's brother and sister (Kivuli and Faragha) are all grown up: Kivuli's still in exile and Safi has never met him before. Because she is the youngest in her family (and also of the pride, excluding Mrithi--Upendi's son) Safi develops a very spoiled and full-of-herself attitude. It doesn't help that her older sister does nothing to scold her: since Kivuli's exile, Faragha has become VERY protective and sensitive towards her younger sister. She's also influenced Safi's thoughts towards the queen and her family, even though Safi's never met Mrithi, and has only seen the queen and her mother a few times. However, deep down, Safi is a very lonely cub, and gets bored playing by herself--since her sister is really no fun, and many of the pride sisters are irritated by her.
One day, as she's wandering off by herself, Safi runs into a cheetah cub, named Haramu. At first, the two butt heads (both being headstrong) but as the days go on, they keep running into each other, and eventually a friendship forms between them. Safi's mother and sister have no REAL problem with her playing with a cheetah: it's better than playing with the prince. However, secretly....the two accidentally develop feelings for each other--and that IS a problem....
Safi also has a bit of a 'hero worship' towards her unknown father, Moto. She's never met him, but her mother talks about him fondly, and in Safi's mind, he's become a 'super lion.'
At some point, Kivuli returns to the Pridelands with Kuwasha and his family, and Safi gets to meet his brother for the first time. She's a little intimidated, but isn't shy (her attitude combined with lack of knowing him personally prevent any real shyness). She just finds it strange to see her brother after so long. The biggest change comes when Kuwasha and Kivuli start repairing the broken Pridelands: Safi has grown accustomed to her lifestyle, and to no longer have the restriction of interacting with the royal family is unfamiliar to her. But her brother decides it isn't healthy for Safi to only have one playmate (he's noticed the way Safi and Haramu look at each other) and steps in, introducing Safi to the first lion cub she's ever met who's her age: Mrithi. Mrithi is a very shy, very withdrawn little cub, having ALSO grown up under harsh restriction. Their first meeting is very awkward, but eventually, the two begin to talk about their 'restrictions' and as Kivuli watches, they slowly begin to interact more comfortably. Safi later introduces Mrithi to Haramu, and the three become best friends.
When Safi is a teenager, she decides to leave the Pridelands for a short while to go look for her father, taking her best friends along with her. She wants to meet this 'super lion' her mother talks so fondly about....
