Name: Kuwasha

Pride: Pridelander, heir to Pride Rock and the Pride Lands
Personality: As a child, Kuwasha is very shy and insecure. This is largely due to him being born a white lion, and despite being the prince, he's treated differently by his cousins, and several pridesisters (including some of the reformed outlanders. He has very low confidence, and often hides behind his sister and/or stays close to his mother, Kiara. However, having grown up in an adopted Pride (afte rhe runs away) Kuwasha's confidence finally surfaces. This is largely due to Laina (an albino lioness whom he eventually takes for a mate).
Description: All white, black tail tuft, black inner ear rims (like Kovu) black outlander nose, pridelander muzzle/nose, lavender-blue eyes. Very small and meek in build.
Other: He runs away from the Pridelands after his cousin Kivuli goes overboard with his teasing/jeering/descrimination. He's later adopted into Afua's pride, after being found (starved, weak and delerious from dehydration) by Afua. He eventually meets and falls in love with Afua's youngest daughter, Laina, through which he realizes his white fur isn't so bad, in comparison to hers (she's an albino, so is heat and light sensitive....at least that's how I think that works.) His confidence grows through her love, and him taking care of her and being taken care of by Afua.
History: Born as the second child to Kiara and Kovu, Kuwasha was instantly set apart from the pride due to his white fur. This caused him to become very self-conscious and unconfident, making him very shy and scared of the other pridemembers, outside his immediate family (his aunt Vitani, and his friend Adaeze.) Though his parents (particularly his mother) loved him dearly, he was shown no love by his cousin, Kivuli (and Faragha to an extent) and eventually, an incident with Kivuli him over the edge, and he runs away. For several days he just keeps going, until fatigue, hunger and thirst causes him to collapse. He is found by Afua, his deceased uncle's best friend, who brings him back to his own pride to be nursed back to health. Though first intimidated when he comes to, Kuwasha soon realizes this Pride regards him with curiousity: the only other white lion they've seen is Afua's daughter, who is crippled to an extent because of the lack of pigment in her fur and eyes. The white fur is a link between them, and Laina (Afua's daughter) and Kuwasha eventually become friends. Kuwasha also slowly learns to be more confident in himself, when he realizes that even though he has white fur, he is in good health; rather the opposite of Laina, who is limited in what she can do, but is in good spirits. Kuwasha spends the rest of his youth with Afua's pride, and eventually falls in love with Laina. When he reaches his teens, Afua reveals he wants Kuwasha to be his successor, since he has no son of his own. Kuwasha (who's grown to look at Afua like a second father) agrees. However, he DOES return to Pride Rock once more, with his mate, cubs, and his cousin, Kivuli....(more on Kivuli's page) when he reaches adulthood. Things have gotten much more bitter in the Pridelands since he's left: his father is dead, his mother, heartbroken from that as well as her lost son, has stepped down from the throne, and his sister--a much darker individual compared to the spunky cub he once knew--is now queen. She has no mate, and while she sees to it that new cubs are treated fairly, she punishes all those who demonstrate any kind of cruelness. His aunt Vitani has a new daughter, and her eldest daughter (Faragha) no longer gets along with his sister and parents (she still hangs around to protect her younger sister, but other than that acts a lot like a not-entirely-evil-Scar.) However, when he returns (with Kivuli no less) the wall of icyness starts to melt....
Position: Head of Afua's pride--Kuwasha does not stay at Pride Rock.
Crush/Mate: Adaeze (Scruffy's daughter and childhood crush) then Laina, Afua's youngest daughter.
Children: Three cubs (one boy and two girls) who are all white (the boy has a black hair and tail tuft--like Kovu) blue eyes, black ear rims and a pink outlander nose. One of the girls has a hair tuft like Tama, a pink pridelander nose, black inner ear rims, and blue eyes. The other girl has a black outlander nose, blue eyes and a stripe like Zira.
