Monifa and Arida walked in the Outlands, side-by-side, just to stretch their legs after a long nap. It was silent, except for the squawking of the vultures, until Arida decided to break the silence. "It's quite a sunny day," she remarked. "Yeah, it is," Monifa replied. Arida felt a warm glow of happiness that seemed to light up the dark, bitter pit in her stomach.
